If I had realized that this was a short book, I wouldn't have bought it. I feel like I was ripped off. Was this a ploy for more money and less work? It costs the same on Audible, no matter how long it is. I LOVE the Ender stories and Bean, but this was not up to Card's standard. I kept waiting for the real story and characters to develop and then suddenly it ended. What? The narrators were terrific as usual.

I cannot believe the good reviews on this book! The reviews and the great narration were the only reason I kept pushing through to finish it. The adults are neglectful morons and predators who make me afraid for any boarding school children. The kids are all sex-crazed, drugged-out idiots. This is 23 and half hours of my life I will never get back. I was very mad at the end of this book and sorry I bought it. What a waste of time and energy.

I really enjoyed the first 2 books but this one is awful. Full of trauma, gore, and unhappiness which barely relates to the characters we want to know about. I found myself crying and shuddering often during the story. I felt edgy and unhappy even when I wasn't reading. This is really a rant against war and not much of an effort to wrap up a good trilogy. I HATE the ending. Just stop at the second book.

This writer LOVES to hear herself talk. These characters were so superficial and full of themselves. I wanted to stop listening after the first hour. I kept listening and hoping it would get better but it improved only slightly. The ending was awful. I do not recommend this book at all. The only saving grace was great narration.

This book was very interesting but oh so strange. What I didn't know when I bought it is that is full of sex and extremely graphic violence and gore. I don't think I would have purchased it if I had known. I don't think I will listen again but it was hard to put down. The narrator was very good.

I enjoyed wit and surprise of this book. You never know what kind of trouble they will get into next. The reader is excellent!

While the story was decent, I got really tired of hearing about food and shoes.

I'm an adult who loves stories in this genre. It has been a while since I found anything really enjoyable and I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was very entertaining, well written, and not too juvenile. I eagerly await the next one!

I think I would have enjoyed this book a whole lot more if it were read by Elizabeth Sastra. Emily Gray does NOT fill her shoes.

This book was interesting but it should have been a lot shorter. They went over the same ground too many times. I liked the switching of story tellers and I thought the story was good.
