"Great new characters with new possibilities"
Excellent narration, the story introduces new characters and makes you care for them. Sexy as always and hard to put down. I love her work.
"Lots of entertainment for everyone"
Some of the stories were boring (to me), some were hot (to me), some were funny (to me). All in all i found this to be a collection where I would expect several of the stories to appeal to any aficionado of erotic (versus pure slutty) fiction. The performances were excellent.
"She did it again"
Wow. This was my favorite of Michelle's stories so far.
I love the philosophies and character nuances that appear throughout the story. At times a touch of Zen, at times a touch of quantum theory. She somehow manages to weave multiple story lines together while keeping your hungry for more after you've finished listening to the whole story. Khristine does a great job by making all the characters come alive! I've fallen in love with her voices.
This book goes into more depth with some of my favorite characters (Tela, Lord Nightshade, the Lady, Severn) as well as bringing along new ones (our new female dragon and a little glass something or other). New marvels appear and I find myself thinking the story is going one way when BANG, off it goes in a different and even more interesting direction.
Hard to put down. Great book for long car rides or while exercising
"Eroticism with a story"
The story is interesting, the erotic scenes are definitely hot. Moire Noire the female reader makes the scenes even hotter. The male reader had too old of a voice for me. Not all the scenes were for my taste; but, there were several that were. I wish it would have been longer and gotten into more character development and explored the potential jealousies and intrigues that this type of arrangement should have brought about.
"Continues to be entertaining"
I still love the interwoven humor Charlaine places throughout her works. This may not be as good as some of her previous works; but, it is still a must listen to Sookie fans. I would have liked more play and interaction with Eric's "father". Normally her character development is well done; but, I felt things were missing for both "daddy" and Eric's "brother".
Johanna Parker as always is a fabulous narrator and makes the characters come alive.
"great story telling"
Excellent series of short stories that provide more depth to some of the characters. She does a great job in making you care about the cast and there is lots of humor, some sex and another fabulous performance by Johanna Parker. Great for short car trips or when you don't have a lot of time to listen to a complete novel.
"Had a hard time getting into the characters"
I guess I'm just not into demons. Saying that, the story was good and the reader excellent. However, since I had a hard time getting into the characters, I didn't really care what happened to them.
I do enjoy sci-fi and other supernatural stories (vampires, weres, etc); however, I was never able to empathize with the characters. If you like demons and all the possibilities that entails, you will probably like this book. If not, you won't.
"Can't wait for the next one"
It is such a great story mixed in with fabulous insights into daily life and how things really are, not just in the land of the dragons, but in our own lives.
All the main characters have been brought to life (I have read all in the series so far), the 3 main dragons, Lords Sanabellus, Teamaris and the Archon, Kalen of course, her sergeant the lion, heartwarming, great story.
She has such a command of each character's voice, she makes it so easy to merge into the scenes and become part of the story.
Yes, but, at 17 hours, that is not possible. I listen to it while exercising indoors on my trainer and on long car rides. It makes the trips and the exercise something to look forward to doing.
Waiting for the next book.
"Fabulous, Hard to stop listening"
I've read the entire series and this was one of the best. The story keeps ratcheting the action up and up.
The pre-christmas scene where the little girl wins everyones' heart
The final battle scene where the books hero and heroine seemed both about to die.
Yes.
The reader does another great job. She really brings the book alive and her sexy voice makes the erotic scenes unbearably hot.
"Exciting, realistic end to the series"
in the top 10
The fantasy world, people and things in the world
She was able to make the characters believable. She brings the characters alive
The book took me through various emotions. Any time a book makes me emotional I know that the story is a good one. It made me think. I did not have an extreme reaction one way or the other.
It was annoying when the author kept using transitory statements like
