Leo Demidov is no longer a member of Moscow's secret police. But when his wife, Raisa, and daughters Zoya and Elena are invited on a "Peace Tour" to New York City, he is immediately suspicious. Forbidden to travel with his family and trapped on the other side of the world, Leo watches helplessly as events in New York unfold and those closest to his heart are pulled into a web of political conspiracy and betrayal-one that will end in tragedy.

What did you love best about Agent 6?

The incredibly wonderful description of the characters and their thoughts ideas and values. Coupled with the fantastic narration by Dennis Boutsikaris, I found myslef laughing, shouting exclaiming and sometimes even on the verge of tears.

What did you like best about this story?

The long span of time we follow the characters (at least Leo) and the detailed description of each character. Also the way the whole story was put together finally. Although it seemed some of it towards the end was a stretch, and kind of rushed and anticlimactic, but still it was a work of art.

Which character – as performed by Dennis Boutsikaris – was your favorite?

This is a tough question. He performs each character so convincingly I cant really say but I would say Leo Dimidov because he had a large amount of dialogue.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. When Leo was on the phone with Raissa and she said Elena was behaving strangely and she didnt know what to do. I was moved by Leo taking the huge risk telling Raissa "Dont allow her to attend the concert". He followed his instincts even when he could not explain why he felt how he felt. It seemed like a pivotal part of the story, which if Raissa had done what he said would have changed the rest of their lives.

    Any additional comments?

Many reviewers complain of The Secret Speech and Agent 6 being disappointing after Child 44. You have to keep in mind, Child 44 is just such an amazing book, its a tough act to follow. Its hard to make it any better than that. I mean if you combined all 3 books and made them one book, you would still have one huge amazing novel. Also the amount of research TRS did was impressive.

In Southeast Minnesota, down on the Mississippi, a school board meeting is coming to an end. The board chairman announces that the rest of the meeting will be closed, due to personnel issues. "Issues" is correct. The proposal up for a vote before them is whether to authorize the killing of a local reporter. The vote is four to one in favor.

Would you listen to Deadline: Virgil Flowers, Book 8 again? Why?

No I wouldn't, because a book has to be exceedingly outstanding or has to move me deeply for me to re read or re listen, especially since there are so many good books out there. that being said, this is a very very good book!!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Edge of my seat...no. But it did wax and wane continuously through the book which is a good thing. It didn't have a totally predictable end. Some parts were a little far fetched but I don't want to include any spoilers so...see for yourself.

What about Eric Conger’s performance did you like?

He has that relaxed dude like voice I would expect from Flowers.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but that is never possible for me.

    Any additional comments?

I didn't like the series that much in the beginning but its growing on me. Once you just get your mindset to accept, Virgil Flowers is not Lucas Davenport then it becomes ok. Also I like how the characters from the Prey series have cameos in this series to. And what about that Ma Noble???!!!

When Victor is called to meet with an old friend who ultimately betrayed him, what he thought was an ambush is in fact a plea for help. As a Russian gangster, Norimov is accustomed to death threats, but now an unknown enemy wants more than his life. They intend to kill everyone he cares about, including his missing daughter Gisele. This time, Victor's job is not to kill but to protect. Unfortunately, locating Gisele is his first mistake - because someone is watching his every move.

What made the experience of listening to No Tomorrow the most enjoyable?

The amazing Rob Shapiro. He narrates this and all the other books in the series perfectly. He is so......Victor!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of No Tomorrow?

The end..... Don't want to spoil it for anyone but it was enjoyable. Just when you think the book is over Tom Wood throws us another bone. Lol.

Have you listened to any of Rob Shapiro’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes!! This is just as good as the other books he narrated. The story was not as great and Wood kind of glossed over some parts making it less believable but overall it was an amazing book with a great performance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!!! But my girlfriend wouldn't let me. Lol!!! She says I disconnect from her when Im listening to it.

    Any additional comments?

    Yes. More, more, more,more,more !!!!!

The Trinidad contract was supposed to be simple: To make a living man become a dead man. When the job goes bad under the watchful eye of a bank security camera, there is nowhere for agent MX-401, known as Reaper, to hide from the fearsome local warlords, the Laventille Killers. Her employers, the Barbarians, send her to Barbados, the next island over, barely two hundred miles away, with the LK's in hot pursuit of the woman who took many of their own.

Would you try another book from Eric Jerome Dickey and/or Zoë Bell and Dominic Hoffman ?

No. I mean Iam a longtime fan of EJD, but this is not his best work. And the narrators (especially Zoe Bell) just killed the book for me.

Would you recommend A Wanted Woman to your friends? Why or why not?

No No No. Its not well written. Seems like an unfinished or rushed project. Now his other book about an assassin was just incredibly good. I mean all 3 were. But this is really mediocre.

What aspect of Zoë Bell and Dominic Hoffman ’s performance would you have changed?

Everthing about Zoe's. She couldn't change her voice much so it was hard to know who was talking. Dominic was not bad.

Was A Wanted Woman worth the listening time?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

I wasted a credit! Im sorry to say it but its the truth.

Where does The King of Plagues rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Its a really good book and a really good series. Maberry spins a really great tale and his research is excellent. I love how he makes the unbelievable believable.

What did you like best about this story?

The way it is connected to previous books in the series.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes but Ray Porter made an unforgivable mistake. The narrator had obviously read the book before hand, and knew the story. In one sentence he unwittingly revealed one of the biggest punchlines of the book ahead of time by inserting the name of the villain that was supposed to be secret until a later time. Im certain this was a mistake but it really killed the intrigue for me and made the book much less enjoyable.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Dont Trust Anybody

    Any additional comments?

Yes. Ray Porter needs to re narrate the book otherwise the ratings will go down due to the screw up.

Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before. A killer who is just like him. Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry.

Where does Dead Eye rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is an excellent story from an excellent series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Eye?

Kiev......It was me!!!! Ive been wanting to hear about Kiev since the firt Gray man novel. Greany does an amazing job of peaking your curiosity. Now all I need to know id=s why the original SOS notice was put out on Gentry!!

What does Jay Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Jay Synder lives the story. He has a way of not just giving each individual a personality and voice, but really making you feel the individuals emotions. Dead eye is such a good villain, because hes such an asshole and an unlikeable character. Synder does an incredible job of making you hate him!!Als makes a believable hero out of Gentry. He's superman but hes also flawed, and also gets lucky.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Tell me about Kiev.....!!!!

    Any additional comments?

    Nope.
