The fellowship that Patrice had with his peers really comes out and the feelings you get from all the comedians that are included in this series really hits home. The feeling of loss for someone you have listened too and even agreed with, has a lingering effect.
Buy this series - tell your friends to buy it. It is one of the better tributes to an artist that I have heard.
As I said above. The series just gets better (overall) with the ArchDruid playing more than a secondary role. Fierce druid is much stronger in this novel than previous.
And I must say I snift and maybe sniffled once or twice at her saying good bye to her mother and finally letting go of her old life.
Well crafted story and the overall arc continues on with great twists in the landscape.
And the narrator is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
This story is about the MCB Badass monster killer Agent Franks. Yup... He is a mass of misc. body parts but he can whoop some monster tail.
This series just keeps getting better the guns, combat and sarcastic writings make me smile. Thanks and cheers.
A great read that also seg-ways into the changing landscape of The Forgotten Realms.
Love the fact that a majority of his major characters are featured in this novel.
I read some reviews about this book and I must say I disagree with the anti religious aspect of the reviews.
I found it more plausible that the view points from the characters - very in character for their specific reactions to the situations encountered.
Excellent over all story arc that brings in past books very nicely and the tech geek in me wants that bloody camera. If only to take pictures :-))
As the title says, I really enjoy the mesh work of history with occult background woven together that wraps me in a happy blanket. A solid listen that is worth the credits for the entire series.
Fantastic suggestion and an awesome story. Very funny and deals with the universe from a unique view point. Really dig all the characters and their by-play.
This is a good series that deals with a new idea in the realm of fantasy, in the fact that what you can think of is what you can create. The story is good, Modesitt has always been able to keep my attention with his books in the past. The narrator is good as well with several different inflections in tone and moderation to give life to the characters in the story.
Overall I well keep this one on my ipad for a another listen in the future.
I was unsure what to expect from this audiobook. After reading some of the other reviews I decided it was worth a try. What an unexpected suprise. It's probably one of the best books I've read or listened to in years. I was sad for it to end. Heartwarming & funny.
