When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

What could E L James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This was SUCH terrible writing. The author repeatedly used the same lines throughout the book - "my inner goddess was this ... my inner goddess was that" -zero variation in her descriptions of the same things. The whole book could have been over and done with in 2-3 chapters. It felt like the author had a semblance of a plot and then copy pasted the pages over and over again until it looked about the size of a book. ugh .. excrutiating to finish and even then, there was barely an ending. This books claim to fame was a controversial plot - but even that was underwhelming. The only part that was a tad shocking and interesting was the contract, but everything else was random and poorly penned. terrible author - very disappointed given the hype.

How could the performance have been better?

She was so breathy - every single sentence was breathy. Would have done well to add in some intonation - but I dont blame her as much as I do the writing. She wasn't as bad as some of the other reviewers claim.

What character would you cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

um... eliot, katie, the limo driver, all these characters were kind of introduced but not explained enough to hold the readers/ listeners attention. If they had elaborated on mrs robinson, at least it would have been an interesting side plot.

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect! Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree.

What did you love best about I've Got Your Number?

The narrator was actually awesome. I feel like I now am talking in my head in her adorable accent. She did voices amazingly and smoothly so it felt like different people were talking but not annoyingly like someone trying to put on a fake voice.

What other book might you compare I've Got Your Number to and why?
