In an ancient cairn in the wilds of Scotland, Oxford student Simon Rawnson vanishes, seemingly into thin air. Where has he gone? Unsettling signs, a mysterious Green Man, and a Celtic circle chalked on the sidewalk point his roommate, Lewis Gillies, to an impossible answer...and an incredible destiny on the other side of a doorway between worlds.

Again Stephan Lawhead has brought amazing adventure in a well written book about the "time between times" and different realities. Starting in London, and ending in the amazing world of Albion, the island of the blessed. Death, evil, battled by true hearts and even truer friends as they battle their way through trial and testing. Love the whole series.

They called him unfit to rule - a lowborn, callow boy, Uther's bastard. But his coming had been foretold in the songs of the bard Taliesin. He had learned powerful secrets at the knee of the mystical sage Merlin. He was Arthur, Pendragon of the Island of the Mighty - who would rise to legendary greatness in a Britain torn by violence, greed, and war, who would usher in a glorious reign of peace and prosperity, and who would fall at the treacherous hands of the one he loved more than life. This is the third book of The Pendragon Cycle.

Was another amazing book, although the Tailisman remains my favorite. Was sorry to see the series end.

He was born to greatness, the son of a Druid bard and a princess of lost Atlantis. A trained warrior, blessed with the gifts of prophecy and song, he grew to manhood in a Britain abandoned by its Roman conquerors. He was to have a higher destiny: to prepare the way for the momentous event that would unite the Island of the Mighty - the coming of Arthur Pendragon, Lord of the Kingdom of Summer. This is the second book of The Pendragon Cycle.

Philana says: "Excellent Book (Ten Stars)"
    "Merlin"
    Overall

Didn't like this book as well as the first one in the series. It was a little darker and the long narration of Merlin in the beginning was tiresome. All in all it still was a good book, just not as amazing as the last one.

It was a time of legend, the last shadows of the mighty Roman conqueror faded from the captured Isle of Britain. While, across a vast sea, bloody war shattered a peace that had flourished for 2,000 years in the doomed kingdom of Atlantis. This is the remarkable adventure of Charis, the courageous princess from Atlantis who escapes the terrible devastation of her land, and of the fabled seer and druid prince Taliesin, singer at the dawn of the age. It is a story of an incomparable love that joins two astonishing worlds....
