Loch is seeking revenge. It would help if she wasn’t in jail. The plan: To steal a priceless elven manuscript that once belonged to her family, but is now in the hands of the most powerful man in the Republic. To do so, Loch - former soldier, former prisoner, and current fugitive - must assemble a crack team of magical misfits that includes a cynical illusionist, a shape shifting unicorn, a repentant death priestess, a talking magical war hammer, and a lad with seemingly no skills.

What did you love best about The Palace Job?

A good story brought to life with great narration. I was instantly drawn to the main character and the storyline that actually had a few surprises in it as well

What did you like best about this story?

Well delivered with multiple strands of characters interwoven with enough back story to make it fun and interesting. When the individual characters begin to interact it is like well woven tapestry

Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?

Actually enjoyed them all. Very well delivered with great personality for all of them. The Death Priestess though....Very interesting.

In that first volume, we were introduced to the remarkable world of Roshar, a world both alien and magical, where gigantic hurricane-like storms scour the surface every few days and life has adapted accordingly. Roshar is shared by humans and the enigmatic, humanoid Parshendi, with whom they are at war.

Where does Words of Radiance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Words of Radiance was simply one of the most amazing listens I have had since I started with Audible years ago. Michael Kramer and Kate Reading truly bring to life Brandon Sanderson's world. I am ready to listen to it from the begging once again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Character? I have to choose one.Syl is easily the most astounding little lady. You can almost see her eyes roll each time she speaks. However, Shallan's growth was enthralling. I found myself staying awake past my bedtime just to listen to her story

What does Michael Kramer and Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

What do they bring to the story? They are the story, the world itself comes to life with each and every word. Brandon Sanderson's world is amazing and well thought out, Kramer and Reading are the icing on the cake.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were several time I laughed out loud. Scared one of my employees one morning when I laughed so loud it startled her. Yes I was listening at work. I could not put the darn book down.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Would you listen to The Way of Kings again? Why?

Yes There is so much I know I have missed. The book is incredible.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Way of Kings?

So far the most dramatic part has been the fake suicide to cover up the theft. No spoiler alerts here I hope

What about Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s performance did you like?

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Would you listen to The Name of the Wind again? Why?

Would not only listen again but I intend to listen to it right away to try and catch anything I might have missed the first time.

What other book might you compare The Name of the Wind to and why?

Mmmm interesting question. I was expecting some battles and much excitement. But in truth it was a exciting and mind gripping in the extreme without the need for many of the tricks used to grab a reader that is used by other authors

Have you listened to any of Nick Podehl’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to anything Mr. Podehl's work. I wasn't sure I would like him in the first 30 minutes or so but within an hour I was hooked I love him.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was and it didnt take me much longer than that..If work hadnt of gotten in the way...
