Detective John Corey now faces his toughest assignment yet: the pursuit and capture of the world's most dangerous terrorist -- a young Arab known as "The Lion" who has baffled a federal task force and shows no sign of stopping in his quest for revenge against the American pilots who bombed Libya and killed his family.

There was never a moment when I didn't know what was coming next. I love DeMille, but this one was not good.

Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous – Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape.

    Any additional comments?

When you know something terrible is going to happen, you don't want to watch, but you just can't look away...I actually tried to stop listening to this one, but I had to go back and finish it. Great story, well read.

John Carr, aka Oliver Stone-once the most skilled assassin his country ever had-stands in Lafayette Park in front of the White House, perhaps for the last time. The president has personally requested that Stone serve his country again on a high-risk, covert mission. Though he's fought for decades to leave his past career behind, Stone has no choice but to say yes. Then Stone's mission changes drastically before it even begins. It's the night of a state dinner honoring the British prime minister.

This book wasn???t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I guess that dedicatd Camel Club fans would not want to miss it.

What could David Baldacci have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Come on! How many deadly scrapes can one bunch get into? And how many women can one hero share adventures with without any real sexual tension?

What about Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ???s performance did you like?

It was fine and I especially liked the way Cassidy handled the voices of the various women characters.

You didn???t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Well, I did stick with it.

When John Sutter's aristocratic wife killed her mafia don lover, John left America and set out in his sailboat on a three-year journey around the world, eventually settling in London. Now, 10 years later, he has come home to the Gold Coast, that stretch of land on the North Shore of Long Island that once held the greatest concentration of wealth and power in America, to attend the imminent funeral of an old family servant.

Andrew Stone says: "DeMille writes another excellent book!"
    "What a disappointment!"
    Overall

I am a longtime DeMille fan, but this book was just silly. The characters were so flat: not one ever did anything unexpected. I wish I could get my credit back.
