Ralph is not like the other mice at the Mountain View Inn. He is always looking for adventure. It is Ralph's lucky day when a young guest named Keith arrives with a shiny miniature motorcycle. Right away, Ralph knows that the motorcycle is special - and made to be ridden by an adventurous mouse. And once a mouse can ride a motorcycle...almost anything can happen!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this for any old fans of the book, and any youg reader looking to try something new. The fantastic story of Ralph and his adventurs are performed well and are still able to bring a smile to my face after many years.

What other book might you compare The Mouse and the Motorcycle to and why?

As a childhood reader of all Cleary books, this story has made me want to revisit all of her old works.

Have you listened to any of B. D. Wong’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first BD Wong performance I've heard, outside of his acting on things like SVU and The Ref. It took a second to place him, and he wasn't who I would have expected, but he did a remarkable job.

    Any additional comments?

My kids are three and five, and aren't generally captivated by lengthy stories, but I plan to play this on our next road trip, when they do seem to last a bit longer with their attention span. Books and audible in general have helped us as a family to avoid DVD players and video games in the car, which is something that I'm quite proud of.

Pocket has been Lear's cherished fool for years. So naturally Pocket is at his brainless, elderly liege's side when Lear demands that his kids swear to him their undying love and devotion. Of course Goneril and Regan are only too happy to brownnose Dad. But Cordelia believes that her father's request is kind of...well...stupid, and her blunt honesty ends up costing her her rightful share of the kingdom and earns her a banishment to boot.

What did you love best about Fool?

Moore's combination of witty humor and slapstick comedy kept me completely enthralled. Add the stellar narration by Euan Morton, and you have a real winner. I have had it in my library 3 weeks and have already listened to it three times.

Here is the incomparable Dr. Seuss' story of an unnamed "you" whose travels through the world involve a series of ups and downs. His ultimate success, however, is "98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed!"

Well worth it. My three year old has listened to it at least fifteen times with me.
