once again Joseph Delany weaves a truly entertaining and genuinely spooky story replete with all types of sinister creatures and villians--great in the car --just kept me glued to the story waiting to see what would happen next--let go and put yourself there --in his haunting world of the "spook".
.....enjoyed the book. Like other reviews it keeps you interested ....amazing tale of native american occult practices with good characters and gruesome, harrowing, and sometimes disturbing information...a GREAT horror novel.......
....when i listen to these stories...i am not only captivated by his eloquent phrasing,i am stunned by the intense brutality.....Howard manages to infuse these into stories that "smarten" primeval warfare and fights and make you lust for more....Solomon Kane is one heck of an imposing yet gentlemanly and yes kindly soul...he will however not hesitate to bisect you from shoulder to groin with his Rapier if you are proven evil or have crossed him...magnificent author and truly genius storytelling............
This book was AWESOME--scariest,most entertaining, creepy, shocking, incredible story I have ever listened to. The author brings the true feeling and inflection of the characters since he wrote it of course ,you get the feel of what the person is saying and what it sounds like when things are happening in a truly believable fashion----The Demon-----easily the most sinister character ever penned--it's attacks both verbal and otherwise leave you feeling unsettled and listening for noises in the room--I have been listening to this story now for 2 months--I just keep playing it over and over--in the car --goin to bed--it has so much content and you pick up things each time--like watching a favorite movie over and over--little parts maybe you missed when you weren't paying attention for a moment or two--anyway--you WILL NOT be disappointed--buy and get the S**t scared out of you!!!! fun, fun, fun!!!
I was truly shocked ,moved and terrified by this story, my family had ties to not only his hometown ( Dumont NJ ) but also where he would meet for his "assignments" at the west side of the Tappan Zee bridge--that town was Nyack--where my cousins and grandparents lived..I mean I know there was no real danger for us--but the fact that this man was literally in our midst geographically really made the story come alive for me--a real insight into the callous unfeeling and sometimes downright silly logic of some of the mafia's movers and shakers.A TRUE sociopath and monster was Kuklinsky--a great story and revealing look at the twisted mind of a "for hire" serial killer.
