"I moved to New York City a month ago to become the best journalist the world had ever seen. To find the greatest stories never told. And now here I am, Henry Parker, 24 years old and weary beyond rational thought, a bullet one trigger-pull from ending my life."

    Malle says: "Great audiobook!"
    "Fast moving"
    Overall

I took a chance on this and was pleasantly surprised. It took a bit to take off but when it did - hang on to your seat! Good listen.

Sweet uplifting story from one of my favorite story-tellers. It's always in a place you would want to visit (and maybe live). I thoroughly enjoyed this listen.

    "Gave it one more try..."
    Overall

Stopped reading Stephen King after Misery because it was getting just too commercial and predictable. I decided to give it just one more try with Duma. It sounds like he's writing a screenplay. Previously, there was no way you could bring his book to the screen and scare me like the prose - not so now. Sorry to see him go...

In a crowded courtroom in Mississippi, a jury returns a shocking verdict against a chemical company accused of dumping toxic waste into a small town's water supply, causing the worst "cancer cluster" in history. The company appeals to the Mississippi Supreme Court, whose nine justices will one day either approve the verdict or reverse it.

teresa says: "no wonder it was on sale"
"2 stars only because it's Grisham"
    Overall

There's the great writing and that gets the stars but if I wanted to read non-fiction, I would have chosen that genre. Sure, it's pretty accurate but there's no real fiction ending. It's the real world - I live that every day. I read fiction to kind of escape that. No stars for the wrap up - 2 stars for "at least it's Grisham".

"Not supposed to be GWTW accurate"
    Overall

OK, there are a few (ok, a lot) of places where it doesn't "toe the mark" as far as a GWTW afficianado would be concerned but it is a great story. I had no problem listening all the way through - great ending, too. Worth the listen...

What if the Antichrist has already been revealed? The first book in a gripping new series by best-selling authors Sigmund Brouwer and Hank Hanegraaff explores the lives of Christians who struggle to survive and spread the Gospel during the climactic turbulence of "the last days". With the enemy seeking to decipher the code of John's letter, Revelation, and destroy the church, believers must cling to the hope that Revelation provides as they face the greatest of all persecutions.

    "Agree with Kristie"
    Overall

I completely agree with Kristie. There are so many characters and plot lines that I have had quite a time keeping up with them - it is virtually impossible. This was such a problem that I stopped listening for several days and went back to it later. I'm still struggling...

In the astonishing work by the author of the best sellers The Robber Bride and The Handmaid's Tale, Margaret Atwood takes listeners back in time and into the life and mind of one of the most enigmatic and notorious women of the 19th century.

    Michelle says: "Incredible!"
    "Disappointed"

As usual, Atwood is an excellent writer but the story just didn't make it. I hung in there waiting for a glimmer of resolution but got none.
