Great plot and sensitive writing, particularly the internal dialog of teen angel and the smooth transition into ambiguous ending. Excellent reader, with minimal lapses of designated character Voices.
The layers of excellence: innovative plot, mother-daughter relationship details, character development, fullness of the Angel blood culture/history that unfolds as the plot does.
The Voice she gives Clara. A wonderful example is when Clara is bringing forth Glory @ her mother's request, and she recalls the fish joke: Samantha Quan's inflection of "Damn!" has such an emotional punch.
High school proms didn't begin to be in "full swing" within the first hour of starting. At least, not when I was in high school. Nor even when my 20-year old daughter was! In fact, the prom scene was the most discordant to my experience.
Loved the action, wry wit, Scooby-Doo lunch pail, the True Knight, the twists and turns of the problems.
Just as you think the problem is solved, another one crops up. And Harry fumbles and makes mistakes.
He acts the part flawlessly, adding his interpretation to emotions & thoughts, thereby reinforcing the written narrative. He gives a fuller experience to the story.

The narrator switched randomly between reading-the-narrative style and acting-the-characters style. Pauses didn't add to the listener's understanding.
The word-by-word repetitions of the characters' history or characteristics. Readers may need to be reminded of information first introduced earlier in the book -- however, other authors find ways to interweave that information.
I appreciated the candor of the characters to their kin and how the narrative showed the eventual positive outcome for the main characters and their kin.
Tedious and emotionally distant narrative from David Benioff. Not a Go-To author for me. The reader was competent. Perhaps even excellent. The narrative did not allow for a more emotionally engaging style.
