    The Star Kingdom's ally Erewhon is growing increasingly restive in the alliance because the new High Ridge regime ignores its needs. Add to that the longstanding problem of a slave labor planet controlled by hostile Mesans in Erewhon's stellar back yard, a problem which High Ridge also ignores.

    This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    I suppose this would appeal ot fans of David Weber's Honor Harrington series and, though set in the same universe, it is not an Honor Harrington story. Fans of the space opera might enjoy this story.


    What was most disappointing about David Weber and Eric Flint ’s story?

    I found the reason this book was on sale. It was short on story and long on rehashing everything over and over. I felt like each idea or concept had to be discussed from every character's point of view. It made the book overly verbose and lacking in a stong story line to keep the pace going. The characters talk about everything, then spend minimal time actually doing those things.


    What about Peter Larkin’s performance did you like?

    Good characterization. Good distinction betweem character voices.


    If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Crown of Slaves?

    Too many to count.

    Very disappointed.
