He's Hollywood's most dazzling star, who is worshiped by millions and hated by one twisted soul. His existence is under siege as a series of terrifying, enigmatic "messages" breaches the security systems of his Bel Air estate. The boxes arrive mysteriously, one by one, at Channing Manheim's compound. Manheim's security chief, ex-cop Ethan Truman, is used to looking beneath the surface of things. But until he entered the orbit of a Hollywood icon, he had no idea just how slippery reality could be.

    I found this title unworthy.
    Way too many adjectives!

    put you to sleep.

Koontz is a great writer, but this was like an attempt to see how long he could draw out a 200 page book....too long is the result.

    skip it.

You can't earn a degree, take postgraduate courses, be certified, or become a master tradesman, but being a dad is the most important job you will ever have. The multitude of suggestions and "should dos" being shouted at you from all corners can be overwhelming. You cannot do them all, but how do you choose which techniques and skills are the most important for raising happy, healthy children?

    Overall

Try to get past the delivery of information in this book.
I am not a religious man, and this book is.
    The humor is dorky.

I read this book to find out what I need to do to become a better father.
    The book provided that information.

    Great insight!

They mustn't harm a human being, they must obey human orders, and they must protect their own existence...but only so long as that doesn't violate rules one and two. With these Three Laws of Robotics, humanity embarked on a bold new era of evolution that would open up enormous possibilities, and unforeseen risks.

    "NOT LIKE THE MOVIE"

Join a stunning adventure in 922 A.D. to a mysterious land where the day's length does not equal the night's...where after sunset the sky burns in streaks of color...where a powerful Viking chieftain and his band of brothers must lock in mortal combat with monstrous brutes who threaten to empty the land. With an introduction and running commentary by Michael Crichton!

I chose this book because the movie The 13th Warrior is based off of it.

    Just see the movie.
The book is an actual account to the battle from a very boring perspective.

    Blah.

Stephen King's second novel, Salem's Lot, is the story of a mundane town under siege from the forces of darkness. Considered one of the most terrifying vampire novels ever written, it cunningly probes the shadows of the human heart and the insular evils of small-town America.

All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.
