"I moved to New York City a month ago to become the best journalist the world had ever seen. To find the greatest stories never told. And now here I am, Henry Parker, 24 years old and weary beyond rational thought, a bullet one trigger-pull from ending my life."

    "Great audiobook!"
    Overall

This is a fast-paced not predictable thriller from a new author and read by a really good voice. If you like thrillers from Patterson, Stuart Woods or Jonathan Kellerman you'll like this. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Gerald Dunwoody is a wizard. Just not a particularly good one. He's blown up a factory, lost his job, and there's a chance that he's not really a Third Grade wizard after all. So it's off to New Ottosland to be the new Court Wizard for King Lional. It's a shame that King Lional isn't the vain, self-centered young man he appeared to be. With a princess in danger, a talking bird who can't stay out of trouble, and a kingdom to save, Gerald soon suspects that he might be out of his depth.

John Williams says: "A good start to a new series"
"Lots of fun -- good narrator!"
    Overall

I've downloaded and listened to the first two books in the series, The Accidental Sorcerer and Witches Incorporated, and these are fun, light fantasy books. Set in a vaguely British early nineteenth century kind of world, I liked the characters and the plots. Surprisingly the author seems better at creating the men rather than the women, but I recommend the stories very much. Am downloading book 3 now.

Miles Vorkosigan makes his debut in this frenetic coming-of-age tale. At age 17, Miles is allowed to take the entrance exams to the elite military academy; he passes the written but manages, through miscalculation in a moment of anger, to break both his legs on the obstacle course, washing out before he begins. His aged grandfather dies in his sleep shortly after, for which Miles blames himself.

Readalot says: "What a great character!"
    "I love Miles!"
    Overall

This is the first Miles book I read/listened to and it has me hooked on the rest of the series. The narrator is good and even handles the women's voices well. Great space adventure and introduction to a unique character. You will enjoy spending time with Miles.

Working in Hollywood is always about getting to the top. Or on top, as feisty producer Claudia Dostis prefers. But when she contends with her sexy adversary, Leandro Mandalor, the stakes change. Her opponent is definitely up to Claudia's challenge. He convinces her they must come together in the office and in the bedroom. Suddenly, getting on top has a whole new meaning and leads to a new level of satisfaction. But can Claudia let go of her need to succeed long enough to allow someone else to win?

    Kelley says: "Solid"
"I want more, more from Sarah Mayberry!"
    Overall

This is what sexy, contemporary romance is supposed to be at its best! This is the 3rd of three connected stories, but you can listen to them independently. Sarah is a really strong writer and while I liked the love story (and the hot scenes) between Claudia and Leandro, the frienship between the three women was just as important. The book before this is ALL OVER YOU
