The story line is unique, and characters interesting, but like another reviewer stated, the characters were unbelievably obsessed with opera, and were unrealistically unconcerned with their separated loved ones. The book drags in parts, but the narrator was very good. The ending came abruptly and was a little unbelievable. Overall, on okay read.
Oddly enough, the film of this book was actually better than the book. The film version story line was more interesting. A good read and well read.
This is truly an amazing book. I feel very fortunate to have listened to it. So moving...what a great inspiring story. The first bit starts off slow, but give it time. You will be glad you listened.
What a wonderful book. Sad, but not depressing and a tribute to the human spirit. Beautifully written and read. I would highly recommend this book.
Great book, but not for the squeamish. The story is fascinating and thought provoking. Kristoffer Tabori does an amazing job narrating - probably one of the best voices I have heard. Recommended.
Like other listeners have stated, this was a very disappointing finale. Too much non-important detail, not enough action or plot, too little character development. I was so looking forward to reading the third in the series, but eventually had to push myself to finish it.
Interesting read and shocking. Makes you shake your head at the goings on in Oklahoma. Well researched by Grisham. Dragged a bit in parts, but kept my interest and I would recommend.
This books opens your eyes and mind to the life of an alcoholic. Great narration and story. Enjoyable read.
