Yes. I have listened to all of Robert Crais stories more than once. I love all of his characters and the dialogue between them. Alot of raw emotion from both Scott and Maggie in this book.
The prologue...it had me hooked.
Made me want to take both Scott and Maggie home and care for them. He made me want to go out and buy a German Shepherd. The story stayed with me the whole next day.
Yes, yes, yes!!
I listened to this book in 1 night, needless to say I was awake until 4:00 a.m. It was worth it. It could have been longer, I wouldn't have minded.
Being scared, not knowing what was going to happen next.
The house warming party
Claire and Julian. I would want to know why they kept their mouth shut about what was happening and not protect their kids sooner.
I was disappointed how the book ended. I understand the house's hold over them but it had a kind of "let's get this story over with" feeling to it. It did have me scared throughout and I wanted to listen to it in 1 sitting, just couldn't though...you know, had to get back to real life. Plan on listening to other books by Bentley Little and/or narrated by Dan Butler. His voice put me in the character's mind, not being able to judge between real and imagined, which made the story creepier. Could have done without the sex scenes. Didn't understand how it played into the story line...maybe to prove the house's hold over anyone there???
Definitely the narrator. You always knew who was talking and his timing was perfect!
Without giving it away, 14's doorway...
Any and all interaction/conversations between Veek and Nate.
I found myself laughing out loud with the witty dialogue.
You won't be sorry purchasing this book. I had a very hard time turning it off....wanted to listen to all 12 1/2 hours of it in 1 sitting.
