  • Reckless: House of Rohan Series, Book 2

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 30 mins)
    • By Anne Stuart
    • Narrated By Susan Ericksen

Adrian Alistair Rohan lost his faith, and now, a dedicated member of the depraved Heavenly Host, he loses himself in his only pleasure: the seduction and debauchery of beautiful women. Rich, charming, and devastatingly skilled in the arts of love, he never fails in his conquests…until Charlotte Spenser. Charlotte is facing a desolate, passionless future, none of which matters to Adrian, who imagines her a toy until better prey arrives.

    "Sad Rehash"

If you read Ruthless, book one of the series, then you have already read this one. It is just a sad rehash, same plotline, same characters (ok, they are supposed to be the next generation, but they are just carbon copies), same subplots, same result. Save your money and just reread Ruthless.

  • The Foundation Trilogy (Dramatized)

    • ORIGINAL (7 hrs and 48 mins)
    • By Isaac Asimov, Maurice Denham, Prunella Scales
    • Narrated By Geoffrey Beevers, Lee Montague, Julian Glover, and others

The opening episode begins on Trantor, capital of the Galactic Empire, with the meeting of Seldon and Dornick, their trial, and their exile to Terminus. The action then jumps forward 50 years, to the first Seldon Crisis, where the repercussions of the recent independence of the Four Kingdoms of the Periphery are being felt on Terminus, and are handled by the first Mayor, Salvor Hardin....

James says: "How can you go wrong with a must read book for $2"

What a horrible production of a great book. The sound control is non existant, you have to turn the volume way up to hear them wispering, then some terrible excuse for space music blast your eardrums. Like the sound track from Dr Who run amok. Audible should pay you to down load this, ever if they put it on the free for members list it is over priced. Wow, I never thought I would write a bad review of an Asimov book, but it is not the book I am panning, it is the worst production of one I have ever heard.

  • Out of the Dark

    • UNABRIDGED (16 hrs and 48 mins)
    • By David Weber
    • Narrated By Charles Keating
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Earth is conquered. The Shongairi have arrived in force, and humanity’s cities lie in radioactive ruins. In mere minutes, over half the human race has died. Now Master Sergeant Stephen Buchevsky, who thought he was being rotated home from his latest tour in Afghanistan, finds himself instead prowling the back country of the Balkans, dodging alien patrols and trying to organize the scattered survivors without getting killed.

    "Worst Ending Ever"

This was a fairly interesting book, good action and narration, but increasingly it seemed like Weber was painting himself into a corner. I was very interested on how he was going to get out of it, when boom, he pulls a duex ex machina ending. Terrible way to end what what have been a good book. Did he just get bored with the book, and so , ok, its over, I cannot figure out how to end this book well anyway. Very Very disappointing.
