  • The Vampire's Consort

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 58 mins)
    • By Caridad Piñeiro
    • Narrated By Natasha Singh
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Vampire Adrian offered Eliza a choice: die of a fatal illness, or become his consort and attend to his every need. Eliza chose life, but she did not expect to fall in love - and lust - with him….Nothing compares to the erotic excitement of watching Adrian pleasure one of his many willing companions, but she’s tired of waiting for Adrian to see her as more than his consort. She thinks she’s ready to move on with her human lover, John - until Adrian surprises all three of them with a sensual encounter that changes everything….

CAROLYN says: "2 HRS FOR $2 - SHOULD SAY IT ALL !!"
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Hard to say, it is pretty dull, a lot of it is due to the reader.

If you’ve listened to books by Caridad Piñeiro before, how does this one compare?

I haven't so i can't say, but I do hope they are better than this one.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Natasha Singh?

Anyone with more emotion and range.

What character would you cut from The Vampire's Consort?

I don't believe it was any of the characters, it was the reader and the story itself. Actually, to me the story was boring and their was no meat in it.

  • Under the Dome: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (34 hrs and 29 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By Raul Esparza
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Russell says: "Glad I Listened to 11-22-63 First"
If you could sum up Under the Dome in three words, what would they be?

    Could it Be

What did you like best about this story?

The possiblities this makes you consider and realize you know, through out the entire story. All the characters come to life.

Which character – as performed by Raul Esparza – was your favorite?

Crazy maybe but I have to say Jr. only because he was so colorful. I loved to hate him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

God gave life to every living thing, from the largest to the mighty small. Who is watching who?

    Any additional comments?

This is a great book, it is loaded with different characters, good bad and then more bad. I will listen to this again. Remember to breath while listening to it, it does get intense.

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 38 mins)
    • By Peter Clines
    • Narrated By Ray Porter
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

    Magpie says: "Super solid listen!!"
Where does 14 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Number one by far, it keeps you wanting more and loving all the characters and eager to see what will happen next. It is full of excitment and anticiaption.

What was one of the most memorable moments of 14?

When they were all the Debbies and Clives apartment together and discovered in their own special way a major secret that could not be happening.

What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He bring ALL the characters to LIFE. You get to know them and enjoy the entire story more because of it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

OOOH YES! I took my kindle to work everyday and listened when I could with my headphones also in the car with my headphones and while cleaning the house. I am going to start it all over again and live through the story again.

    Any additional comments?

If you enjoy syfy with a band of fantastic enjoyable and different personalitie in a great gripping story, you will not go wrong with this one! ENJOY
