This is the full story of Gorillaz: Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs, told for the first time. It includes the lowdown on their motley crew of collaborators, from Ike Turner to Sean Ryder, and accounts of the gigs, the movie, the videos, and the website, including the story on Kong Studios, their legendary HQ. An essential listen for their legion of fans.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Sadly, this book was perfect for me. I just had no idea it wasn't complete. It is a must listen for any Gorillaz fan, just be prepared for it to end without completing the book.

What does Joss Ackland bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration is superb. So good. I have the book but the hearing all the voices brings the book to a new level and makes it a fun VH1 Behind the Music kind of vibe.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Rise of the Ogre?

I would have done the opposite. I would have had all the scenes included:(

    Any additional comments?

I was totally bummed to finish listening to the Rise of the Ogre to find that even though it is labelled unabridged, it is incomplete and after a google search, was never finished.

So, I guess unabridged just applies to the chapters completed... Grrrr... it was an awesome listen for how long it lasted...

I really wish that there would have been a note to prepare me for it not being complete. I still would have listened to it (because what is there is so good), but I wouldn't have been as disappointed.
