As always, Mark Tufo's cutting sense humor is bang on. Micheal Talbot is one character
that is near and dear to the Zombie Fallout series. His laugh out loud and, at times, terrifically sarcastic sense of humor, helps round out the Micheal Talbot character. I am a
hugh zombie literature fan, and Mark Tufo had the guts to write a series of books that are not total doom and gloom from cover to cover. We see the good, the bad, the ugly, and the
funny as the Talbot clan struggles to survive. There may be more flashbacks in ZF#5 but,
they only serve to add to the total Talbot clan character development. It is why so many of us listeners love Mark Tufo's wonderful creation of the entire Talbot clan. I know I will never lose my appreciation for Tufo's Z.F. series.

This novel is like a time machine. Taking the listener back to the early sixties, clearly an important and loving time for the author. Yes, it is a work of fiction but, Reavis Wortham wrote a novel that is so delousicly descriptive and a absolute delight to listen too that it's virtually impossible to turn off. The Rock Hole is, in my opinion, one of the best novels I've listen too in a very long time. An absolutely superb narrator only adds to the enjoyment of this novel. Told from the perspective of both an innocent 10 year old child and through the wise old eyes of his seventy year old grandfather/guardian, I felt like I was bringing transported back in time. I laughed , and shed a tear or two for both T.O.P, the young boys nickname and for Mr Ned his grandfather. This novel wraps you up and takes you along on a simple and a fantastic journey to the old south. Wortham is so delightfully descriptive within the pages of The Rock Hole that you half expect to find a stray strand of hay struck somewhere in your hair and the smell of manure wafting past your nose.

This is an absolute diamond. I finished listening to it in one day. I was even disappointed when I had to temporarily pause my listening so I could have my evening meal with my small family. LISTEN to THE ROCK HOLE by REAVIS Z. WORTHAM. It is truely a terrific find. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did. SIMPLY WONDERFUL.

The innocences of TOP wins you over and draws you deep into his world as a ten year old moving from the city to the real country. You follow along absorbing his grandfathers advice like you were one of the many wonderful charecters in this novel. However, I know that I'll never hunt quail, shoot wild boar or even come close to a real working farm but, for one split second, as I listened, I thought I just might be able too. That's how good this novel is. THANK MR WORTHAM for writing such a terrific story and THANK YOU MR TRABER BURNS for bringing this story to life. I just can't say enough. THANKS AGAIN!!

The Book of Riley and it's creator Mark Tufo are in a category all of their own. I have read,or should I say listened to, everything Mr. Tufo has written and he never fails to surprise, but most of all, he never fails to make me laugh. Yes I have a bit of a sick sense of humor but, when you think about things really if you don't laugh your life is a lot darker.I believe my cats (as much as they are maligned in other's worlds hint hint) are intelligent and probably would talk too if I should write a series of stories imagining them rescuing their humans from a sudden zombie apocyliptic world ending horror. To put it easy The Book of Riley 1 and The Book of Riley 2 are entertainment in it's purest form. Mark Tufo is a brilliant author with an imagination and a wild sense of humor. Look him up, and simply ENJOY.

Patches, the cat, of course. Although I have to laugh whenever the subject of dogs and bacon comes up. Also, Santa will never be the same now that I have heard him described through BenBen's eyes.

I was moved to tears of laughter when two dogs, one cat, and an infant found out they could all talk to each other.

These two Books' of Riley are fun, enjoyable and at times a down right riot. ENJOY

"Two Graves" by Preston and Child is a wonderfully wicked novel that will leave any listener far from any digging utensils for quite some time. This long novel takes the listener on a mystery rollercoaster ride that will leave many fans looking at their garage or any neighbor carrying a gardening shovel in a entirely different way. Because charecter development is so deep, and Pendergasts' F.B.I. and personal veneer cracks so unexpectantly, any listener would have to be insane not to delight in, what I think is, P&C's, best novel of their careers. I would definitely listen to it again, especially because of the superb and wickedly delightful narration of Rene Auberjonois. He plays a huge part in this books success. He definitely brings this story to life.This new novel is so incredably complex that any P&C fan may need to listen to it more than once, if only to truly enjoy every delightful twist and turn. It is so thoroughly constructed that, despite the book's length, any new or old Preston and Child fan will delight in this convoluted and thought provoking mystery. It is so good that listening to the novel only once may not be enough for any fan. It is truly a wickedly delightful literary ride that many will remember for a very long time. A great listen.

Kellerman's "GUILT" is one of his better psychological thrillers to date. But not his best. This new Kellerman Novel relies heavily on Alex Delaware's quirky and methodical way that he gathers the smallest of clues and slowly, sometimes achingly so, pieces them together to solve the multiple murder case. It is true that this book can be annoyingly slow at times, but that is mostly because we, the reader, spend a great deal of our time tumbling through Alex Delaware's grey matter.

Kellerman's Novel "VICTIMS" was slightly better book because it was faster paced. But Kellerman has brought a more complex Alex Delaware character to light in his new book "GUILT" Hopefully he continues to expand Alex's participation in solving more murder mysteries. However, the expansion of the Delaware character, and the flow of the story, should not be at the expense of the Milo Sturgess charecter. The Milo charecter seemed stunted and dull in this new novel. And because of this the pace of the story slows. I love to see Delaware helping the police as much as I love to see him in his true therapist/client role. There is a place, a determined place, for each. A delicate balance of the Delaware/Sturgess characters and a set of murder mysteries must be struck for Kellerman books to be truly great and thus earn the five stars available.

The narrator for this novel was great, as usual. If the book was faster paced and more exciting, the narrators true and extensive gifts would make all of us love this book even more. It was Kellerman that handcuffed the narrator. This story was a little too slow for John Rubenstein to truly shine

"GUILT" is still a great listen, and I'm glad I spent the money to buy it. It's just that Kellerman has to balance and combine his two main characters and the bones of a good murder mystery a wee bit better in order to deserve that fifth star.

Absolutely. "You Don't Want To Know" by Lisa Jackson has a terrific cast of charecters, and they, for the most part, are members of the same family. The audio version of this book is essential to understanding this truly twisted cast of characters. The audio version reinforces and champions the lead female character, Ava, without watering down the superb and delightfully convoluted character development of the rest of her many evil family members. Lisa Jackson strikes a delightfully sneaky balance with this cast of characters. And that is absolutely essential for this kind of book. The audio version lets the listener understand all the emotions of all of the characters. It put a face on a string of emotions that is absolutely necessary for "You Don't Want To Know" to work. And it does work. What a wicked web L.J. weaves. You love this book. It is the best Lisa Jackson book I have read to date. And I have all the books Audible.com has to offer. Listen, don't read, this book. The audio version brings the book to life.

The narrator for this novel does a remarkable job. Especially, because Ava, the main character, must be delicately developed so the listener will want to know what happens to her. By the end I was cheering out loud for her. All of this developes through a great narrator and a terrific author who had the guts to let this book develop and grow almost exclusively on the backs of its many cast of characters. Terrific job!

An entire new subject matter. About one half dozen editors and the reincarnation of real, live Kay Hooper. Also, it would help if members had the ability to return at least one rotten book and then allowed to chose from another entirely different author.

No, but Kay Hooper has fouled out for now. What is really scary is that I have the entire Lucy series. Six books that I hope get a lot better. REALLY, DON'T LET OLD GOOD REVIEWS FOOL YOU . I'M DOOMED.

RUN FASTER DAMMIT!!!!!

This entire book is about one family's attempt to survive. You're given a dramatic and in depth look into four family members (a father, a mother, and two children) desparently trying to survive being hunted down to be murdered in a hate filled frenzy. At first your not sure why this one father is so desperate to run hundreds of miles with his unprepared wife and family. His only driving force is to save his family. To get them into Canada where no one will want to murder them for no reason. At first your puzzled because "RUN" starts out quickly and then escalates at break neck speed. The family is running for their lives and your still trying to find out why. However, "RUN" intense start is absolutely necessary for the story to work. It is a delight that virtually the entire book's character development is used to bring you, the listener, into the escaping family desperate struggle to survive. You ride the emotional rollarcoaster with this family. "RUN" has to be fast paced in order to set the scene for the family's escape. Also, the ending is so intense that you nervously cheer, or in my case, yell at the family to do something more, especially run faster. Anyone will love "RUN" if they love a fast paced character driven novel that keeps you hanging on, cheering, till the very end.

Phil Gigante is one of the best narrators out there. With every book he tackles he seems to know it's secrets. And then he has an uncanny ability to reel just about any listener into the books true story. He brings a book's characters to life. His narration is often what let's you, the listener, become emotionally evolved with a novels critical main characters.

RUN, NOT FOR YOUR HEALTH BUT FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!

Great faced paced book that you'll love to listen too. You'll listen to it in one sitting. It would be great on a cold (really cold) weekend. ENJOY

Surprisingly, after finishing "RED" , I couldn't stop thinking about the story. It was an unexpected delight. JACK KETCHUM, in my humble opinion, developed one of the best characters I have ever come across. The story at times tears at your heart, especially at the beginning. Something horrible happens, but despite that, Ketchum's writing locks you in. You simply need to find out how his main character will continue on after such a personal tragedy. This audiobook is unforgettable and ranks high on my list, mainly because one character, an old man, shows unforgettable fortitude. A level of personal strength the best of us could only hope we have somewhere deep inside.

There are, for me, 2 unforgettable moments in "RED". So not to spoil the story I'll only say that the memorable moments take place in the first paragraph and the last paragraph.

GARY KOHLER'S narration of "RED" is truly one of, if not the best, audiobook performances I've ever listened to. It is a true artistic performance. His range is incredible and his ability to delicately convey the main characters state of mind is engaging and unforgettable. Listening to this audiobook, rather than reading it, is an absolute must. KOHLER'S NARRATION IS A PURE PREFORMANCE! DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!

Ketchum's character development is deep both physically and emotionally. As you listen, and it is mandatory with this book's excellent narrator that you do, you truly become wrapped up emotionally with one old man. A character that we see in any member of our own family. You absolutely listen to this audiobook in one sitting. There is simply nothing else you can do. You need to find out how one old man's story ends. There will be tears, laughter, anger, and probably more tears. As "RED" continues the emotional roller coaster also continues. You will cheer as you wipe away your tears. And you will never forget the book "RED" .

I cannot emphasize enough that the book "RED" must be listened too. It's narrator is superb. One of the best I heard in a very long while.

I think so. The story does start a little slow, but the superheroes story tugs at you. And as the different characters develop the story comes together. And comes together well. Character development is important to this book, and the author knew it. The story works well?

The not over-the-top use of superheroes. A handful of different characters some still with"superpowers" and some whose powers were gone, brutally taken away. This sets up good tension between characters. You want to know what happens to them as they fightfor the mount.

The obvious answer is that women should sound like women, and men like men. These two narrators do a great job, especially in their description of the everyday and the subtle sexual tensions experienced by both the special heroes and the everyday joe blows that the powerful protect .

When the two main characters left the safety of the mount for two days to do some recon.over and in enemy territory. You learn a lot about the two main characters and the differences between them.

Ending of this book sets up the second book beautifully. I now look forward to hearing the second book. I want to know what happens to the characters. Does the mount expand?Stuff like that.
