"Another Hit!"
Loved this book, the characters are still dancing around in my mind. Read "Scarlet Feather" first if you can because some of the characters pop up again in this book a little older and wiser
""Take me away" with Mystery, Humor, and Romance"
Sweet, Romantic, Mysterious
He was smooth and did all the accents and voices very well.
I like to flip flop between heavy and light in my reading material. This would be on the lighter side and included some real life figures mixed into the fiction. It takes place both in Italy and the US and takes us back and forth between the 60's and present day. The narrator was very good and the story at times takes you by surprise. I enjoyed it and found myself waiting for opportunities to get back to the book (Always a good thing for me!)
"I did not want it to end"
I kept sneaking away from my life to listen whenever I could. The Narration was wonderful and so easy to listen to.
This was one of those books where you find yourself truly caring about the characters. The pictures painted in my mind of Italy, New York, and everywhere the story took me were in such detail, I felt I was there. I Loved This Book!!!!!!!
"A Beautiful Story!"
Yes I would and have recommended this book. It kept me interested and wanting to get back to listening as soon as I could.
I loved the historical setting and the twists and turns the story took. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, everything would change.
"Very Interesting and Thought Provoking Book"
Changed the World
It was very detailed and full of facts, but read like a story.
A wonderful narrator!
A little of both....it seemed like we really got a true picture of this extraordinary man.
I think Walter Isaacson really took the time to research and portray all the many sides of Steve. You feel a little like you knew him by the time you finish. Very Well Done!
"Another Great One by Follett"
If you like history and enjoy the way Ken Follett wraps fiction around real historical events....you will love this book. Can't wait for the next one
"MadeMe Laugh"
Listened to this book while on a cruise and was caught laughing out loud by strangers several times. I think it was even better because Tina narrated it herself!
"Another Hit on My List"
The story is so uncomplicated and simple and the characters so very lovable........It made me keep coming back to find out what happened........Thanks again Maeve!
"Worth every Penny!"
This book could and should be college level required reading. The question would be, “in what subject?” It is filled with scientific research and facts, covers topics of family relationships, history, medicine and racism. It does all this while telling a story I found very hard to put down. Learned much and also escaped into it…Thanks to the Author!
"Loved it!"
Well written story! I found this author really taught me a great deal about the Lost Children of Nepal while weaving a heart warming and uplifting story. You felt as if you knew the individual characters and I for one did not want the story to end.
