Twenty years after ruling the halls of her suburban Chicago high school, Lissy Ryder doesn't understand why her glory days ended. Back then, she was worshipped...beloved...feared. Present day, not so much. She's been pink-slipped from her high-paying job, dumped by her husband and kicked out of her condo. Now, at 37, she's struggling to start a business out of her parents' garage and sleeping under the hair-band posters in her old bedroom. Lissy finally realizes karma is the only bitch bigger than she was.

What would have made Here I Go Again better?

I love Jen Lancaster and have enjoyed all her books until this one. The story line isn't exciting and nothing happens to keep your attention. I was so looking forward to this book coming out so I am really disappointed that I didn't enjoy it. I hope Jen goes back to writing books based on her life because those were great!

But once there, she runs straight into her ex-ex husband, a rigged slot machine, her evil twin, and a trail of dead bodies.

Would you try another book from Gretchen Archer and/or Dina Pearlman?

    no, I don't think so.

    Any additional comments?

I almost finished listening to part 1 but I had to stop. The story is boring and the narrator is very dry. This is the first book by Gretchen Archer that I have listened to and I don't think I will try another.

Dexter Yates loves his fun, carefree London life; he has money, looks, and girlfriends galore. Comic-strip artist Molly Hayes lives in the beautiful Cotswold village of Briarwood. When it comes to relationships, she has a history of choosing all the wrong men. Leaving the city behind, Dex moves to Briarwood - a much better place to work on his parenting skills - and he and Molly become neighbors.

The story line was pretty good but the narrator acting like the baby is awful! Hopefully on future readings she won't do those baby noises.

Sadie Turner is not a control freak, just…orderly. When a cheating spouse topples Sadie’s impeccably tidy world, she packs up her kids for a summer vacation at her aunt’s lake house, hoping to relax, reboot, and pick up the pieces away from men. All men. But eccentric Aunt Dody has other plans: she’s determined to see Sadie have a little fun - with Desmond, the sexy new neighbor. Tall, tanned, muscular - and even great with her kids - Desmond is Sadie’s worst nightmare. He must have a flaw - he’s a man, after all - so Sadie vows to keep her distance. But as summer blazes on, their attraction ignites....

What did you like about this audiobook?

I just purchased the book today and I have already had to toss it out. The narrator is the worst. She is so annoying that I can not listen to the book. It is a shame because the story line sounded good.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

Awful. Annoying. Can not listen to book.

In the humorous, heartfelt new novel by the author of The Next Thing on My List, a personal organizer must somehow convince a reclusive artist to give up her hoarding ways and let go of the stuff she’s hung onto for decades.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I am about half way thru this book and the story is okay but the reader is awful. I don't know if I am going to be able to finish listening to the book. Before buying this audible listen to a preview.
