There are soooo many books yet to 'read' so I probably wouldn't...but I would highly recommend this to others.

Yes...but it was entirely too long for that! I ended up changing the speed to fast on my MP3 player so that I could get to the next 'thing' quicker. The narrator was good but a bit slow for my preference.

I liked the tidbits about not making excuses and just act, even if it's not perfect.

I think the main thing I will take away from this is that I really need to seek out motivational materials that help inspire me on my journey as an entrepreneur.

A great portion of this book was geared towards helping someone brainstorm what they can offer the world with a huge emphasis on the the author's success story. As someone who is already a small business owner, there were quite a few sections that just didn't apply to me at all. There were some good tidbits that I did get so it wasn't wasted time. I'm just now hungry for material that is more closely related to my stage in business.

Yes, if they were in the mood for an easy read. I liked that the main character was strong and she prevailed over the bad guys while finding love. The love story was a bit cheesy and over the top.

This was my first Julia Whelan narrated book. She did a great job.

I enjoyed this book. It was the exact type of thing I was looking for. Not too heavy in spite of the whole Russian mafia theme. It was more about survival and wits. The bad guys get what they deserve in the end. And there are quite a few bad guys.

I would try another...but if they were the same as this...that would be the end of it.

No. The whole thing was a bit underwhelming to me. The only reason I picked this book was because I wanted to see the movie. I really liked the beginning of this book. Things took a turn south when further info was revealed about who the pervert sheriff was. I had a hard time reconciling that he could have been perceived as 'normal' some of the time but that he had such huge character flaws that spread the gamut in how he treated women and even his own child.

His female characters made him sound like Tootsie or Mrs. Doubtfire...like a man doing a woman's voice badly with a terrible southern accent.

I was soooo not prepared to like this book as much as I did. I don't like westerns at all, either in book form or movies. This book was just amazing. The character development made me really feel like I knew the characters in real life. I just got lost in it...and the deaths of some of the characters stayed with me long after the book was over.

I really became attached to Gus. He was so funny and such a lady charmer. Underneath that, he was tough. He did the right thing even when it put his life at risk.

All of them but Gus and Deet's characters were especially great. Lee Horsley's performance enhanced this terrific book.

Yes! But at 35 hours that was not possible.
