Bilbo Baggins, a gentle hobbit who loves the comforts of home, reluctantly joins a company of dwarves on a journey to recover plundered gold from a fierce dragon. It's a tale of high adventure and astonishing courage, and a magical prelude to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Brianna says: "Many years of enjoyment"
    "Jen, NY"

This is so horrible I don't know where to start.

Firstly the American accents are ridiculous - sorry but Tolkiens world is definitely based in Britain. The sound quality is terrible. The direction is ridiculous, the acting is worse than poor.

Do not waste your credits on this. Wait until a decent British actor reads the book.

As long as anyone can remember, society has been ruled by a Colortocracy. From the underground feedpipes that keep the municipal park green to the healing hues viewed to cure illness to a social hierarchy based upon one's limited color perception, society is dominated by color. In this world, you are what you can see.

Roger says: "Slow, weird... but a good set-up for sequels."
"I can't wait for the next one in the series."
    Overall

This is not what we are used to in Fforde novels but I loved every minute of it.
