An enjoyable historical novel with interesting characters but... Follett uses excessive descriptions of sexual encounters that demean his work. Not sure I'll follow the sequels.
I have read and listened to many if not most of W.E.B. Griffin's books and and have enjoyed most of them but this is one sorry excuse for a book. The first half of the book I kept wondering if I hadn't read it before because he repeated the last two books in the series. I persevered to finish the book to see if there wasn't some redeeming quality but I found none. What a silly waste of paper and electrons.
