I'm only 2 hours into the book, and like the rest of his books, it is written very well.

The "creepy" noises that keep on making are seriously distracting, and have played more times that I would like. I want to stop the story until the sounds stop....and then I realize....I can't. At one point, I couldn't tell what the narrator was saying over the sounds of the "creepy noises"

So, I've listened to the first couple books of this series, and it is intriguing...and of course it has the sensual part of it. But I think there is just way too much profanity in this one. I understand that it is part of who the main character is...but the language is just a little over the top in my opinion

I give the 2 stars because the story was written amazingly well and detailed, and the audio performance was amazing as well. However, it was a bit too descriptive for any parent to be comfortable with. I couldn't make it past the first few "points of view" without cringing from the detail. I couldn't finish even the first CD. it made me too uncomfortable.

This is a very unique story, but it seems more like a diary-type story that jumps around a bit. There was no real climax. The story itself was intriguing, but I think the narrator made the story a bit more dull then if you were to have read it yourself.
