There is some poignancy in this book that you wouldn't expect. Lots of details from an inside perspective into places we only know through international headlines of doom and gloom. A worthwhile listen for people on both sides of the aisle.
For a tounge un cheek book, it goes on a bit long even with its limited number of pages. It is funny, but would have made a better extended essay.
This recording of sex chit chat is mildly amusing. It is somewhere between Howard Stern and Tracy Ulman.
This books is funny and contains great insights into how we predict things and why this process is important. My job includes predicting the cost of projects and there were important insights in this book that are relevant to what I and all of us do every day. I plan to listen to this again because I don't think I absorbed all the insight in one pass. These concepts are important enough that I want to be able to clearly communicate them to friends. This book is not at all new age or touchy feely, it summarizes a great deal of research in the field.
There were some characters in here I didn't know much about, but as McCain said, this is geared towards young people and is one long sermon. I like McCain, I wish there were audio of him dealing with the complex issues adults face.
We see the world through two parties, this relatively civil debate goes through many issues and perspectives you just don't hear.
There is good iformation in this book, not as much insight or perspective as one would hope, and lots and lots of ego. The reading voice was difficult to listen to. If you aren't familiar with the travesties of American international policy, this book may be worthwhile in humanizing it for you.
You have to reserve five starts for Twain's landmark books, but, this was entertainment of a different kind that I welcome in todays entertainment environment. Pure storytelling at its best. The production was very good. I am not fascile with 1860's ebonics so it was a bit hard to follow in places. But the period english and accents made the characters come alive.
This treatment seemed a bit disjointed and the audio format of repeating and quizing wasn't quite a winner for me. I expected a better summary of economics, but it was free.
It was a rare and interesting peak into history for someone who was born after all the turmoil.
