Old n' Foolish

I loved these books when they first came out. Classic space opera - Starships, damsels, aliens, war, supernovas...it has it all wrapped up in a good story.

The narrator is good.

I see they have also listed the second book in the series Antares Passage.
Let's hope that they will conclude by also listing the third and final book - Antares Victory.

Well, I will say he is an interesting writer and great speaker. He does have some interesting speculation, but personally I think there's a little bit too much of that and it trends into unbiblical territory.

Worth a listen if you're a solid Christian.
Listen with a care if you're not.

I'm sure this book is for someone, just not me. I found it an odd mix of religion and history that flip-flopped back and forth. Didn't see the relevance of much of it.

Didn't really care for the narrator either.

If you think you'd be interested in this I recommend getting it and if it's not for you use Audible's Great Read program to exchange it.

An interesting trip into the male world and psyche by a woman.

She brings a unique view and understanding to a long hidden world, and understanding that's been lacking for too long.

Yes, she's opinionated, and yes there are points and conclusions you can disagree with her about, and yes you must understand that the author by her own admission deals with mental illness, but is still worth listening to.

Great story, lots of humor. Kami was an acrobat, now he is a Discoverer of Truths, and some truths are best left unrevealed. Especially since it might cost him his life if he does.

I've loved this story from the first time I read it a few years ago

I only have a couple of reservations about this audiobook, but I don't think that should keep you from getting it.

The first problem I had was the reader. It sounded like he had drank a whole bottle of Nyquil before coming in to work. A bit sleepy with a decided neutral drall to his tone.
Also to start with, the reader didn't have a lot of inflection and expression to the various characters and settings.

This did clear up as the audiobook went along. Perhaps all that was needed was to get used to this particular reader. By the middle of the book these complaints were barely noticeable.

My only other complaint is that this is the second book in the story. The first book is called "D'Shai" and it would be nice if it was also available. There are many references regarding people and events that happened in the first book.
While I've read the first one, anyone who hasn't will have to pay careful attention and mentally make the connections as to what is being spoken about on occasion.

As I said - GREAT STORY, and if you've never read it, this audio edition will be something you listen to more than once. You pick up on things re-listening to it that you missed the first time through making it all the more enjoyable.

Don't know that I will purchase anymore of the audiobooks unless they bring back Marsters.

As a matter of fact, why don't you just redo the whole thing, use Marsters, and make us - the customer - happy?

Listen to the reason why so many americans are now re-thinking whatever view they held on the Vietnam war. Apparently we were given a very one-sided view back then. Time for another viewpoint.

Learn about Kerry from the people who knew him and worked with him, and why they wouldn't trust him to bag their groceries let alone lead the free world.

Of course if you are a mentally deficient liberal never mind, these two hundred true war heroes are all deranged liars. Not!!!
