The year is 2032. The NRA has been outlawed; the U.S. military has been gutted; Conservative Christians, dubbed ANARKS, have been labeled a global conspiracy and have been largely driven underground. The Caliphate is now a superpower, residing in Israel. The White House is occupied by a repressive Progressive regime, obsessed with the upcoming presidential election.

What made the experience of listening to Heroes Proved the most enjoyable?

Peyton Tochterman's reading of "Heroes Proved" made this book come alive. I could feel the drama and excitement but he wasn't too dramatic, as some readers are, making it corny. He was the perfect pick to read this exciting book.

What did you like best about this story?

Though "Heroes Proved" is fiction and takes place in the future, 2032, there was nothing unbelievable, i.e. the 2032 technology is probably in the works today and scenarios are, well, not far fetched at all. It was a look into a possible future through the crystal ball of North's experience.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Although the book and reading of it kept me engaged, I didn't have an extreme reaction to it until the story was finished and Oliver North read the credits and thanked the people who made the book possible. North seems to be a genuinely humble man.

Army Special Agent John Puller is the best there is. A combat veteran, Puller is the man the U.S. Army relies on to investigate the toughest crimes facing the nation. Now he has a new case - but this time, the crime is personal: His aunt has been found dead in Paradise, Florida.

The second in the series, every bit as exciting as the first and third. John Puller kicks some serious ass, with the help of some new friends.

From David Baldacci - the modern master of the thriller and number-one worldwide best-selling novelist - comes a new hero: a lone Army Special Agent taking on the toughest crimes facing the nation. John Puller is a combat veteran and the best military investigator in the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigative Division. His father was an Army fighting legend, and his brother is serving a life sentence for treason in a federal military prison. Puller has an indomitable spirit and an unstoppable drive to find the truth.

Steve says: "There will be more of Puller ...."

Unfortunately I listened to the third book in this series first (The Escape ). That didn't take away from the excitement or suspense of this story but the background this book provides would have been welcomed as I listened to The Escape.
That being said, I really enjoyed Zero Day, on to the second book. ...The Forgotten

Would you consider the audio edition of Ameritopia to be better than the print version?

I have both the print and Audible version of Ameritopia. I listen in the car and while I walk my dog. Both are great! I have dog-eared and underlined the book...it looks like hell but I get to go back to it and research topics which I want to know more about. I can't do that with the Audible version, on the little Sansa Clip+ I carry with me. So both have their uses.

Who was your favorite character and why?

John Locke is my favorite because the Constitution was based on his thoughts and his writings. He was a brilliant man.

Have you listened to any of Adam Grupper and Mark R. Levin ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have Liberty and Tyranny I don't know if Adam Grupper did that one with Mark but I really learned a lot and enjoyed it very much.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It makes me sick to see (read) how this country is going downhill at the hands of Barack Obama. He should be impeached IMHO.
