"George Guidall is not Frank Muller"
The story line gets better and better but unfortunately George Guidall puts me to sleep. I keep missing Frank Muller's mastery which made the previous series so memorable. Overall, it's great.
"Wow twisted"
I liked it. It is diabolically good. I also like the writing style. The narrators were excellent. The ending was a surprise too. I had to wake up at 6:00am but I could not put it down until I finished listening to it around 1:30am then thought about it for another 30 minutes before fell a sleep :) I'd recommend this book.
"Loved it"
This was a good listen. The characters are well defined and the main character's journey is fascinating. I would recommend it to a friend.
"Not the best Harry Bosch but it was good."
This was a good listen but at times it became predictable and boring. Overall, I liked it.
"This holds true for today as well"
Yes.
All of them
Nice
All
Although the story is about Soviets, it could apply to any present day government.
"Disappointed"
I was disappointed. I found myself not wanting to continue. I think it was because I listened to this right after I finished listening to John Grisham's "The Confession". However, I like the other Harry Bosch titles by Connelly.
"Very Slow"
The reader will put you to sleep. This book didn't do for me. It is boring and the reader is just terrible. Don't buy this. I could not finish the first part.
"Why Did I Buy This Audiobook?"
Booorrriing. To many useless details and it goes on and on and on without any substance. The useless accent of the character drove me nuts. I could not listen past 3rd chapter. I want my money back.
"Blatant pitch for Mac"
This is not like the previous works. This is boring and comes across as a blatant advertisement for Mac and corporations. Boorrring.
"Patronizing"
I couldn’t help but feel that I was being talked down. Although it is true and works, one would be better off reading “The Power of Now”. No magic here, but you can't help but get a wrong impression from the way she delivers it. As many others said, there is not much new in here. You read and hope that something will click or shift your consciousness. That’s it.
"From someone who loves London"
For someone who thoroughly enjoys Jack London, I did not, whatsoever, enjoy this audio book. The narator ruined it completely by speedreading it. He does not give you enough time to take it in and form the characters.
