When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Having an actual plot, being written in something akin to literate English

You didn???t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None that I could find in the 5 hours I wasted listening to it before I turned it off

    Any additional comments?

Way too long. Poor writing and no discernible plot

Fegan has been a "hard man" - an IRA killer in Northern Ireland. Now that peace has come, he is being haunted day and night by 12 ghosts: a mother and infant, a schoolboy, a butcher, an RUC constable, and seven other of his innocent victims. In order to appease them, he's going to have to kill the men who gave him orders. As he's working his way down the list, he encounters a woman who may offer him redemption; she has borne a child to an RUC officer and is an outsider too.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The first 30 mins were a bit of a challenge, but it got better and better. The reader was great and did the Irish accents perfectly.

Would you recommend The Ghosts of Belfast to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes - I would recommend it. A good story well produced.

If you could sum up Starplex in three words, what would they be?

    Very thought provoking

What did you like best about this story?

The inclusion of pretty accurate physics mixed into a good story. The part about how to learn to communicate with a whole different species was worth the price of admission.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

This would never make a decent film. The technical physics would be left out.

When Teddy Kagan finds a pure red heifer on the Florida ranch of a TV evangelist, he knows (thanks to his knowledge of Scripture and biblical prophesy) that he has discovered the first step in a plot to speed up the bloody End of Days and the Second Coming of Christ: a plot which could lead to a nuclear Holy War.

    "Tough listen"
    Overall

The story was a little hard to follow, but was overwhelmed by the horrible audio quality. The reader (the author I think) should stick to writing only. In addition, the book has background noises in many scenes - very annoying. It also has the worst music repeated between chapters.
