I am a retired CPA and have always liked to relax with a good book of intrigue and mystery. Listening via Audible has made "reading" fun.

It is the greatest advance in American defense technology in decades - an attack submarine capable of incredible underwater speeds. Nothing else in any other nation’s naval arsenal even comes close. There is only one problem: A key element of the prototype is missing - and the man who developed it is dead. At the same time, ships have started vanishing mid-ocean, usually never to be found again, but when they are, sometimes bodies are found aboard... burned to a crisp.

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

As always, the best. No wonder he probably has more e-books than anyone else.

    Any additional comments?

While it is fiction, the Panama Canal incidents were totally unbelievable!

Bourne's friend Eli Yadin, head of Mossad, learns that Ouyang Jidan, a senior member of China's Politburo, and a major Mexican drug lord may have been trafficking in something far more deadly than drugs. Yadin needs Bourne to investigate. Bourne agrees, but only because he has a personal agenda: Ouyang Jidan is the man who ordered Rebeka - one of the only people Bourne has ever truly cared about - murdered.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Someone who enjoys sexual descriptions.

What could Eric Van Lustbader have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Leave out all of the XXX rated material.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The voices for the different Chinese characters all sounded alike.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No, but then I only read the first couple of chapters.

    Any additional comments?

I have enjoy many of Robert Lundlum's previous books.

What would have made Tiger's Claw better?

Get rid of William Dufris. He made most of the characters sound STUPID and DUMB!!

What could Dale Brown have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Get rid of all of the "news flashes" in the first several chapters.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of William Dufris?

    Anyone else.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I stopped listening after the fourth chapter because narration drove me crazy.

    Any additional comments?

I hope I you provide me with a credit for this book, which in my estimation it was the worst book I have listened.

What disappointed you about The Fifth Assassin?

I should have known better after having read the first book but I guess I didn't connect it with the current Fifth Assassin.

Has The Fifth Assassin turned you off from other books in this genre?

Let's say I will never read a Brad Meltzer book in the future.

Would you be willing to try another one of Scott Brick’s performances?

Absolutely. He is probably why I chose to read this one. Most of the books I have listened to are by Scott Brick.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Absolutely not.

    Any additional comments?

I would appreciate a credit for this book.
