New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber and award-winning novelist Eric Pete team up to deliver the first in a much-anticipated new trilogy. The Family Business features two times the heat, two times the fun, and two times the drama as the members of an unforgettable family (not to mention their lovers and hangers-on) find their way in and out of trouble. As their many fans will attest, Weber and Pete share a talent for penning juicy fiction that their audience can’t get enough of.

If you could sum up The Family Business in three words, what would they be?

First of all, I LOVED the performances, especially Ezra Knight! I love audiobooks that have different Narrators to play each Character... it keeps it interesting!
The story was very good and the role each family member played made me want to learn more about each Character. If you like the action and drama to continue in each Chapter, you will find this book very interesting... like all Carl Weber books! :-)

Deepak Chopra has touched millions of readers and listeners by demystifying our deepest spiritual concerns while retaining their poetry and wonder. Now he turns to the most profound mystery: What happens after we die? Is this a question we were not meant to answer, a riddle whose solution the universe keeps to itself? Chopra tells us there is abundant evidence that "the world beyond" is not separated from this world by an impassable wall; in fact, a single reality embraces all worlds, all times and places.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I have to be honest, a few places in the book I "bookmarked" because it was very interesting and something to remember. However, I will need to listen to this book again and perhaps a third time to understand half of what was said.... Some of the book was hard to understand and left me questioning what he just said... Overall, a pretty good book and worth the time (or two) to listen to...

    Any additional comments?

This was an excellent book. It follows friends from their school careers. I loved how we get to know each Character and how they turned out as young adults. It featured everyday lives and makes you think of your own life. Overall, an excellent story. The story kept me interested in the Characters lives and their families.

Valerie Wyatt is the queen of gracious living and the arbiter of taste with a successful TV show. Since her long-ago divorce, she’s worked hard to reach the pinnacle of her profession and to create a camera-ready life in her Fifth Avenue penthouse. So why is she so depressed? All the hours with her personal trainer, the careful work of New York’s best hairdressers, cosmetic surgeons, and her own God-given bone structure and great looks can’t fudge the truth or her lies about it: Valerie is turning sixty.

What made the experience of listening to Happy Birthday the most enjoyable?

This story concentrates on the big birthdays of the 30's, 50's, and 60's. It showcases three individuals and it is well written and a pleasant story to listen to. I love all of Danielle Steel books... At times she can repeat herself quite a bit in her books, but I found this book to have less repetition.

Savannah has awakened to the fact that she's made too many concessions in her marriage. Bernadine has watched her megadivorce settlement dwindle. Robin has an all-American case of shopaholism. Gloria has taken happiness and security for granted. But being at the wrong place at the wrong time can change everything. All four are learning to heal past hurts and to reclaim their joy and their dreams; but they return to us full of spirit, sass, and faith in one another.

Carl Weber is a recipient of the Blackboard Bookseller of the Year Award. Married Men is a fresh and funny take on modern love that has been described as Waiting to Exhale on testosterone. Lifelong friends Kyle, Allen, Wil, and Jay all make mistakes in their marriages-and all get kicked to the curb by their wives. What follows is a wild ride with stops in sleazy hotels, divorce court, and even jail. In their adventure, fueled by Viagra® and lovely young ladies, the four men always have each other to lean on.

I truly love reading and listening to E.J.D. books, but was very unhappy with this one! This book should be rated X! I never heard of any ONE person that had their sexual fantasies fulfilled - a total of 5 or more - within 72 hours, like in this book! From one scene to the next, the main Character is having the time of her life with pleasure! I know it is a fiction, but come on, be for real! LOL There is NO plot to this book and it just carries the Reader/Listener to one sexual fantasy to the next.

I am not sure if author, E.J.D. had a vision of where this book was going, but I know if his work doesn't pick up, I plan to leave his books at "the curb".

I want to give his books one more chance (like I said, I have read and listened to all of his books). I am purchasing his newest book, and will write my review after I listen to this one - Waking with Enemies.

If the Description of this book stated that there were VAMPIRES... I WOULD NOT HAVE added this to my Collection (I have over 210 AudioBooks in my account here!) It is NOT Audible's fault, they are not in charge of making the Descriptions for any of these AudioBooks, (The Author/Publishers are responsible). So, make sure to read the reviews or see how members rate these books before you decide on adding a book to your collection. Massey, the author of this book has a great audiobook out, "The Other Brother", (Which I made a review on) That is why I failed to read the reviews on this book... I assumed the next book from this author would have been just as great as the first one I listened to.... Read those Reviews!!!
