Her Aunt Allegra said, "A young lady with a fortune is subject to all sorts of untoward attentions by the worst sort of vagrants." It is a lesson Tabitha Timmons, a penniless spinster, has never needed to heed. That is, until she is left a vast fortune payable only upon her marriage to the very respectable Mr. Barkworth - a match that offers little chance of discovering exactly what her aunt means by "untoward attentions." But the same can't be said when the Duke of Preston happens along Tabitha's path....

Elizabeth Boyle left me wanting to read more.... The story was rich and full of great character development. The plot was simple but the writing had me laughing and anxious turn the page (so to speak) The narrator did a great job of bringing the characters to life. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a sweet romance and a good laugh as your swept back in time and enthralled into the lives of English nobility and sweet country ladies who are very resourceful....

Lucy Delacourt's temp position isn't quite her dream job but it pays the bills. The highlight of her day is riding the elevator in the mornings with a handsome stranger. Tall, dark, and sexy as hell, Lucy knows he's way out of her league, but a girl can look, right? Everything changes the day the stranger seduces her. Completely out of character, she yields without a fight, but she has no idea her wanton acts with a man whose name she doesn't know will change her life forever. Because the sexy stranger is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries, and one taste isn't nearly enough to satisfy his need.

Couldn’t make it through the second chapter....I enjoy first person narrative however, the writer also needs to balance that with really good POV of the protagonist. Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries POV is so bad that leaves the reader to wonder how could this man run Hamilton Industries when he is so focused on sex...Lucy was the biggest let down of all she is a total wimp....never says "No" and is so docile that is boring.

This book got me hooked and I had trouble putting it down. The story was refreshing differant then some of the other books based on vanpires in the POV was not based soley on sex. The charector developement was rich as was the story line which was also fast paced and interesting.I can not wait to read the second book in this series. Also the narrations was excellent and had no trouble with Tavia doing males vioces with accents.

He was known throughout the kingdom as Hawk, legendary predator of the battlefield and the boudoir. No woman could refuse his touch, but no woman ever stirred his heart - until a vengeful fairy tumbled Adrienne de Simone out of modern-day Seattle and into medieval Scotland.

Would you consider the audio edition of Beyond the Highland Mist to be better than the print version?

Yes, the audio version gave me the time and imagination to absorb the story and the speakers voice enriched the story as it progressed. The speaker couldn't do the women's voices with perfection, however, with the speaker being a male it could hardly be expected. Still, the acting and annuncation was outstanding.

What other book might you compare Beyond the Highland Mist to and why?

Kathleeen Woodiwess's, 'A Rose In the Winter' The auther spent plenty of time developing the sub charectors and the pov was excellent just like one of my favorite writers Kathleen Woodiwess. The book left me wanting more.

What does Phil Gigante bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The inflection of passion to the dialog that is missed by merely reading the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't want the story to end and felt a little sad to say good bye to the charectors.

    Any additional comments?

Really good read...I am so tired of reading a romance written with the sole pov of the hero is lust and the story centers around the couples sex life. Even though this story had it's far share of sex scenes it didn't make me gag and say, 'Enough Already'. The author did a good job of capturing my interest in the Scottish scenery, strong dialog, and clever plot satisfied my opinion that this was indeed a good story.
