this is the fifth book in the series about the attractive Huxtible family. All of those storieshave been beautifully and seductively narrated or performed by Ann Flosnyk
The stories wrapped up as Regency Romances are about very real people and their coping with the problems of life. THose characters could be transposed into today's world but the setting might not be so attractive
This Huxtible series has been one of the most beautifully presented and audio to which I have listenedy and leaves one with the expectation of 'more to come'
I doubt anything
I have heard better from her - so perhaps yes
I would not have accepted it
Family and Friendship
Unsatisfactory felt incomplete
HER MALE VOICES ARE NOT GREAT JUST SHARP.
She does not have a seductive voice
Mrs Williamson the cook for her receipes
Some interesting family dynamics
everythin g = poorly written and no story
it would seem impossible to detrtact from this Title unworthy of being caloled a"book" but she does not in any way improve it.
Have read Eugenides Middelsex and yes to David Pittu
all equally weird and despondent
a better understanding of the characters
read something more cheerful
wouldn't rush for another one
the selfish and egotistical character of the film producer. The Italian hotel scenes
she did the best she or he could with the text.
THe psychological problem of the the duke - phobia with noise and crowds.
too schoolgirlish - immature
the narrator spoilt it
the story is poorly constructed; the narrator's voice immature and unable to lift the story.
the character of Lord Ian and description of someone with AS
Lord Ian - he dominates the story
yes but with another narrator
the narrator was quitee good on the character voices but bad on the narrative - too high pitched and monotonous
enjoyable entertainment -
yes. she is consistent - somtimes her voice can grate but not for long - four star
Mick O'Brian the head of the family - an attractive assertive (sometimes too much so) man passionate about his family.and his town
the O'Briens are an intriguing family and it is enjoyable to follow the family problems which happily tend to get sorted out after personal difficulties and hang=ups are dealt wich - problems that can appear in any relationship
A fascinating biography extensively and thoroughly researched about a fascinating family spanning both generations from the 18th centrury to present times and countries and cities from Odessa in Russia to Paris, Vienna Tokyo ending the journey in the United Kingdom.
The story is exceedingly well narrated.
