No plot - just gratuitous sex. The lead female character is gutless - I just could not listen any longer. Horrible!
The story was ruined by the narrator. She was fine on the storyline, but her voice for the characters was so awful that I was more focused on that than on the story. I won't purchase any other audiobooks with this narrator.
I did not realize that this was a sequel to Firefly Lane until I began listening to this book. I loved Firefly Lane - I felt as though I knew the characters personally - that's how well written it is. There was a range of emotions that enveloped me as I read, and it is one of those books that I didn't want to end. I was so excited as I began to read Fly Away when I realized that it was a continuation of Firefly Lane. The sequel is as good as the first book - again, I was totally immersed with the characters, and it never dragged. It is a heartwrenching story, but it is also completely believable. I'm so glad I decided to purchase this book. I am at peace with the manner in which the story ends (even though I still want to follow the characters and see what happens to them in the future)! Such a wonderful audiobook, and Susan Ericksen has no competitors when it comes to reading an audiobook. She did another outstanding job.
Let me say that I did enjoy this book, but it was difficult to listen to at times due to the difficulty the Duke had when he tried to speak. Yet, it was an integral part of the struggle, so it made sense. However, sometimes I just had to get away from it because it was arduous to listen to. The narrator was absolutely excellent, and I typically do not enjoy English narrators. The overall story was very interesting, and while I didn't love the ending, it made absolute sense that the book ended the way that it did. I will purchase other books from this author, but first I need to listen to something a tad lighter and shorter to cleanse my palate!!
I don't typically object to two narrators, but in this case, I do. The narrator that spoke in first person had the most annoying voice. I listen to audible books every day, and a narrator with a shrill voice can ruin a book. I found myself listening to how annoying her voice was more than what she was actually saying. The second narrator was preferable. Not sure what the point was of having two people reading this book.
I purchased this book because of the high ratings - but that was not a good indicator, it seems. This book sounded like a high school heartbreak; only the prom king and queen were missing. It was further insulted by a narrator that would be better suited reading children's books. I do not recommend it!!! (I would have given ZERO stars if that were an option)
This was an easy listen due to the great narration. If the narrator hadn't been this good, I don't know if the book would have "grabbed" me. It was rather predictable, but moments were very funny. It is a short audio book, and if one is looking for an easy read, this would be a good choice. It was my first Molly Harper book, and since I like a little more meat in the audio books I listen to, I probably won't purchase another.
What an engaging story - a real plot with much humor injected throughout. Love the narrator - she did a wonderful job. Can't wait for the next book.
This is not what I expected from a Johanna Lindsey book - it was as if she was attempting to add a fantasy element, but it just didn't work - not her genre.
This series grabbed me from the beginning, which sort of surprised me. This installment (Dreamfever) really held my interest to the end. The narrators were excellent - this was a great audiobook, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!
