"The Book Case" is a story that features Nelson DeMille's most famous (and successful) character, Detective John Corey, who has appeared in six DeMille novels: Plum Island, The Lion's Game, Night Fall, Wild Fire, and The Lion. In this story, we see John Corey in his early years as an NYPD Detective, before he became involved with the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force.

Also ...not a review. I'm sure I'll love the story. But I have downloaded the file to my 2 devices (old). One is an original Ipod Shuffle. The other an old black Phillips mp3. On both devices I can see the code appear on the device when opened on my PC...but neither produce audio when played. The Phillips device gives the message "file not compatible" Maybe I have to buy a newer mp3 or iphone?

I'm glad it's only $4.95. But I'm annoyed that I can't get the story...I am a huge fan of Nelson...I served in the NZ Infantry in Vietnam the same year he did his tour, so I can relate to his stories like "word of honor" and "Up Country".

But maybe at age 66 this new-fangled audio book thingee is too advanced for old grunts.

Maybe one of you young techo nerds out there can suggest a solution for me?
    Thanks
