It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would you ever listen to anything by Gillian Flynn again?

    Probably not.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment for sure. Mainly, annoyance. I didn't like any of the characters. There were glaring plot holes. I hated the ending.

Can I have my credit back?

In American on Purpose, Craig Ferguson delivers a moving and achingly funny memoir of living the American dream as he journeys from the mean streets of Glasgow, Scotland, to the comedic promised land of Hollywood. Along the way he stumbles through several attempts to make his mark - as a punk rock musician, a construction worker, a bouncer, and, tragically, a modern dancer.

I found this book funny, compelling, brutally honest and beautifully written. I loved listening to Ferguson tell stories about his life. It was so much better than I expected. Loved it.
