Just when everything at the Poor Relation Hotel seems to be running smoothly, Sir Philip brings in another poor relation, Mrs. Budge. When Sir Philip presents his paramour, Lady Fortescue swears great oaths and says the woman is probably related to half the costermongers in London and certainly does not possess one rich relative. Mrs. Budge does nothing but eat all day and refused to do any work around the hotel. Worst of all, Miss Tonks seems to be taking the romance between Sir Philip and Mrs. Budge quite hard.

When you just want a good historical story you can't beat the Poor Relations! The series is wonderful but I would recommend you start at the beginning. Even though I love murder and sex in my books it is nice to take a break! You don't get any better than Davina Porter as a narrator!

This is just a really good story! Currently trying to recover from my “good book” hangover.
Christian is flawed and Maddy is stalwart. The story is about how they meet and make it through life's trials.
    Nicholas Boulton's narration was wonderful!
If you like Georgette Heyer novels then I think you will love this one by Laura Kinsale.
Definitely a 5 star listen and of course worth a credit.

The more Prospero learns about the dangerous new potion the MEA is investigating, the more she's convinced that earning a spot on their task force is the career break she's been wanting. This means he's supposed to possess amazing talent - and she's supposed to bring only bad things to her family and her town. Undeterred, her family moves to the frontier, where her father will be a professor of magic at a school perilously close to the magical divide that separates settlers from the beasts of the wild. With wit and wonder, Patricia Wrede creates an alternate history of westward expansion that will delight fans of both J. K. Rowling and Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Was excited when I saw this series on the summer sale. First three books for $3.95 each, what a deal! Purchased book one and started it right away thinking if I like it to get the others during the sale.

UGH, I don't like it.....there is something about the writing and narration that is off putting to me. The story seems shallow and the narration does not help that. Not saying the narrator is bad it's the combination maybe.

I love PNR but these dragons are not my thing. My recommendation try it only on sale.
