This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside.

What made the experience of listening to Wool Omnibus Edition (Wool 1 - 5) the most enjoyable?

Amazing story read by a very talented performer.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wool Omnibus Edition (Wool 1 - 5)?

There are so many its had to pick one out so I will say the best thing I like was that most things were totally unexpected.

Have you listened to any of Minnie Goode’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not heard Minnie Goode's narration before but she was perfect.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The end stays with me.

    Any additional comments?

Be warned its hard not to listen to this all at once!!!!

At the old family manse in Louisiana, Special Agent Pendergast is putting to rest long-ignored possessions reminiscent of his wife Helen's tragic death, only to make a stunning - and dreadful - discovery. Helen had been mauled by an unusually large and vicious lion while they were big game hunting in Africa. But now, Pendergast learns that her rifle-her only protection from the beast-had been deliberately loaded with blanks. Who could have wanted Helen dead...and why?

    Snoodely says: "Intelligent, spooky thriller"
"Pendergast as you have never seen him."
    Overall

Rene Auberjonois does his usual excellent job bringing Pendergast to life. A real treat.
