Artemis has committed his entire fortune to a project he believes will save the planet and its inhabitants, both human and fairy. Can it be true? Has goodness taken hold of the world’s greatest teenage criminal mastermind?

Where does The Atlantis Complex rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ranks amongst the highest I owe and have listened to. This one and the one before it have made me giggle and sometimes outright guffaw. Artemis's alter ego Orion is so out of date, so unlike Artemis himself that it's hilarious. The phase

What does Nathaniel Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Nathaniel is perfect! Unlike some readers, he has a range of voices that don't sound all the same. Even Jim Dale (reader of the Harry Potter series) isn't this good, 75% of his women characters sounded old and drunk! You can tell when it's Artemis, Butler, Mulch, Holly, etc. without even needing to be told who is speaking. Many of the situations would not have been brought to life as well if I was just reading the book. He knows when to pause for effect and has perfect timing for both comedy and drama. If all books were read by Nathaniel, I would be a happy listener!

    Any additional comments?

Some series peak around book 3, its like the authors run out of ideas and use the same stuff over and over again with different vilians or the story is just dragged out on and on for book after book. The Artemis Fowl series gets more entertaining as Mr. Colfer becomes more in touch with his characters and creates new situations for them to get themselves into. His writing grows as his characters grow.

This ambitious, electrifying work traces the harrowing journey of the famed Sarajevo Haggadah, a beautifully illuminated Hebrew manuscript created in 15th-century Spain.

When it falls to Hanna Heath, an Australian rare-book expert, to conserve this priceless work, the series of tiny artifacts she discovers in its ancient binding - an insect wing fragment, wine stains, salt crystals, a white hair - only begin to unlock its deep mysteries.

I adore this book! I first heard it when a friend lent it to me at work and I wasn't sure at first, since it's not the kind of book I enjoy. But I gave it a whirl, and Loved it! I couldn't stop listening to it and got annoyed when I had to stop for simple things, like lunch. I soon got it for myself off of Audible and so far I've listened to it about three times, and I'm halfway through my fourth listen. It's horrifying in the way it protrays the injustice of religious intolrance, but that's the facts of history. The story is well written, and I like that it takes you back and discover the story behind the clues that even the main character has no idea about. And I love the narrator, some of the voices do sound the same, but to me it's easy to overlook since she does actually TRY to get it right. I recommend this to anyone who has a love of history!
