In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

I really enjoyed this story, so far it does not follow the typical weak girl, love triangle with 2 boys teenager story (Twilight, Hunger Games)
I love the main character, she is interesting, she can think for herself. She will not do what you think she will do, and she is not weak. but she is not annoying either. Her love interest in really cool and not some pouting boy who is so in love with her and weak yet always having to save her. He is really cool. so is she. They make a really good team. Really worth reading, it is not predictable. and a cool ride.

I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her.I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame. Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bests eller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

I like the main idea of this book, I didn't like that she added the love triangle. It is sort of lame to me, and I never really felt the chemistry with the new love interest. He was ok... but book one was much better with the love interest, you really cared a lot about them and felt like they were connected. This book I feel like he was just the first eligible guy she met so she liked him.... I am also so sick of the love triangle thing... the idea of this story is really cool I don't think she needed to add the "love triangle twist".
but that being said, if you read book one you will want to see what happens and the adventure is really good. The main character really grows up and becomes really strong. this book is worth a listen if you read book one.

One choice can transform you - or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves - and herself - while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

I love that this book picks up right where the first one stops, and i love that the author does not try to catch you up on the story, she writes as if they are the same book and writes assuming you read book one, so there is no retelling of anything. I LOVE THAT! She just picks up at the exact spot that book 1 ended and kept writing. I think this the first time I have ever read a book series that the author was not constantly having to keep explain something because it happened in the first book. This author is loyal to the people reading the book already and is writing for them, so she does not waste your time re-telling anything, she just keeps the story going. if you haven't noticed, i think this is really cool.
I love this story, there is no love triangle that seams to be typical in most young adult book series. The characters surprise you. And there not a lot of drama, but just a lot of action and story telling. This is a great series and I will read anything this writer puts out.

The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

I love this book and it is still worth listening to even through it is the abridged version. It is the best audio book I have ever listened to. All the different actors for each story was amazing. Listen to this book on audio, then read the paper version it to find out what you missed. But it is GREAT!!! WORTH IT!!! even thought it is too short.

I loved book 1, I liked this book and got through it just because I wanted to find out what happened to everyone. but I wish he would have stayed on track, and made the story as interesting as the first one. only get this book if you have read 1 and 2 and you want to see how it ends... it is ok.
