Eve Duncan’s mission in life is to bring closure to the families who have experienced the agony of a missing child. As a forensic sculptor, she is able to piece together bones, create a face, and match a name to a child who would have otherwise gone unidentified. Eve is brilliant, driven, and tormented - because her own daughter, Bonnie, was taken from her years ago. Now, with the help of CIA agent Catherine Ling, a startling piece of evidence is uncovered in the quest to find Bonnie, leading to a connection that had been all but buried....

Would you try another book from Iris Johansen and/or Jennifer Van Dyck?

    Probably not

Would you ever listen to anything by Iris Johansen again?

Her performance was not the main problem that I had with the book

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    No

    Any additional comments?

It seemed that the story wasn't complete. It skipped times in Eve's life and didn't make sense

Jodi Picoult delivers the riveting tale of one small town's entanglement with high-school violence.

New York Superior Court Judge Alex Cormier is assigned to preside over the case of the alleged Sterling High School shooter. Lawyer Jordan McAffee represents Peter, the boy who, on the day of the shooting, was found in the corner of the gymnasium holding a gun to his head with a shaky hand. Detective Patrick DuCharme has one star witness, but her story keeps changing. And then there's the biggest problem of all: the star witness happens to be Judge Cormier's daughter.

What disappointed you about Nineteen Minutes?

There was nothing disappointing about Nineteen Minutes.

What could Jodi Picoult have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I think this book was totally enjoyable

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Carol Monda?

I would not have changed the narrator

What character would you cut from Nineteen Minutes?

All of the characters were great.

    Any additional comments?

This was just a wonderful book. It was told from several different perspectives including the mother of the "villain" and the "villain" himself. It encouraged one to look at these tragedies differently and not to judge any of the characters too quickly. The ending was also a surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

For untold years, the perfectly preserved mummy had lain forgotten in the basement of Boston's Crispin Museum. Its sudden rediscovery by museum staff is both a major coup and an attention-grabbing mystery. The mummy - to all appearances, an ancient Egyptian artifact - seems a ghoulish godsend for the financially struggling institution. Medical examiner Maura Isles soon discovers a macabre message hidden within the corpse - horrifying proof that this "centuries-old" relic is instead a modern-day murder victim.

Would you try another book from Tess Gerritsen and/or Deirdre Lovejoy?

Yes, I generally like the books.

Has The Keepsake turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, this is the genre I prefer, I will continue

Have you listened to any of Deirdre Lovejoy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have listened to other books, it is the writing not the narration which was disappointing

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The plot was okay, but not up par

    Any additional comments?

I thought there was too much written about the museum in which it takes place. It was difficult to keep the reader's attention on the plot in the beginning of the book.
