Includes everything you should have learned in grammar school had you been interested and engaged in the topic. A dynamic and unpretentious speaker. Famous speeches were dissected and the tools of their effectiveness revealed. I got it.
O.K., the title is not necessarily true to my review. When the author mentioned she was a Cancer it all made sense. She is very insightful, articulate, witty, charming, but yes she loves to whine and becomes self-absorbed in herself. Yet, the story and plot is perfect and represented everything I wanted in a book---food, adventure, travel, and an exploration of spirituality. Once I warmed up to her writing voice, I was immersed in the book and the story.
Although sometimes I found myself disengaged from the book (had to hit the rewind), I enjoyed the descriptions of places, culture & history. Some people found Paul narcissistic, but who cares. I've listened to worst people in my everyday life, and if you're Paul and you've been to the places he's been, you get a pass. I felt like I went on the journey when in reality I was driving through congested highways or riding on a commuter train with incredibly less interesting folks. No regrets purchasing this audiobook at all.
