In the most penetrating and in-depth biography yet written about the beloved screen icon, award-winning author Donald Dewey delves beneath the persona into the usually unremarked turmoil of the actor's private life and behind the earnest Capraesque image so often accepted as the Stewart identity.

Enjoyed this story about America's beloved actor. Loved reading about his youth and what brought him to films. Definitely a must read for film buffs and those who enjoy understanding the person behind the icon.

Love Life serves up another delicious selection of intimate stories and observations from Rob Lowe's life, told with humor, warmth, and brutal honesty. After writing his acclaimed debut effort, Lowe felt he had more stories to share and many more friends to introduce. The result is a touching memoir about the business and craft of acting, the pitfalls of success, family, love, and much more.

LESLIE DOHENY-HANKS says: "Insightful, interesting and uplifting"

Would you consider the audio edition of Love Life to be better than the print version?

I did not think he could top his first book, but this is terrific. Thoughtful, honest and funny. I want to meet his wife, Cheryl and spend an afternoon hang out with them at a BBQ. I highly recommend this next series of stories.

What did you like best about this story?

All of the stories and how he tells them. His self awareness is refreshing.

What does Rob Lowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hearing his stories in his own words and voice. It brought an honesty and warmth that just added to the book. Somehow he connects with his listener in a way that just reading it, would not have done.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I laughed and was so touched by the story of Buck. I felt a kindred spirit to what he has learned about himself at his age.

    Any additional comments?

Thank you for sharing your stories and lessons Mr. Lowe.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared.....

Would you consider the audio edition of Unbroken to be better than the print version?

The audio version was like having a friend tell me their story.

What did you like best about this story?

It's truly a story of redemption and resilience. It's unbelievable that a person could survive what Louie did. But he did and is still with us today. I am thankful he shared his story and hope future generations will learn from it. He is truly an inspiring soul.

What does Edward Herrmann bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A warm yet reassuring voice. He did an excellent job, good pacing and inflection. He painted a picture with his voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Many extreme reactions to this story. More than once i was on the edge of my sear, held my breath and sighed with sadness at the plight of the POWs. I also smiled with joy at the optimism and forgiveness shown by Louie.

    Any additional comments?

A must read. A testament to the strength of friendship and the human spirit to not only survive adversity but to succeed because it. To Live Big!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I kept listening hoping for the story to really get going. There were some really great characters, but the heroine, Miss Julia seemed to be a simpering fool making decisions out of pride rather than from being clever or crafty. I perceived her to be smart and clever from the description of the book. It could have been truly funny with the cast of characters created by Miss Ross. The narrator did a wonderful job and she was the reason I kept listening, hoping it would get to its point.

While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

This is one of my favorite books. I love history and the vampire genre is intriguing Seth Grahame-Smith does an excellent job of overlaying this into a compelling story. He takes the history of Abraham Lincoln from childhood to Presidency....I did not want to put this story down. The narrator did a fantastic job as well.

I hear there will be a movie released sometime this year and can't wait to see how its cast and delivered, but nothing will compare to the audio book.

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.

Loved the humor and sass the heroine provides in this fun story. Who knew the Grim Reaper had such a dead-pan sense of humor. If you like character development, this series is for you. My favorite character so far is Angel - he has the best lines. The narrator is terrific in her delivery and identifying of each character. Well done...
