I definitely intend to listen to this story again. It's a fresh take on a "Twilight Zone" idea except, instead of dealing with one street, Brian takes an entire city into the darkness. This audiobook is so deserving of 10 stars!!!!
Depth! Eric breathes life into each character. I swear when he went "hood" I nearly lost my mind I laughed so hard. Brian made the story great but Eric made the story memorable.
I don't like answering questions like this. I wish audible would remove them. Such a "spoiler" move, Audible.
If you are a fan of horror fiction, thrillers, and suspense novels this book is a must!!!!!
I've never read the print version but the audio version definitely rocks!
This audio book is a novella. I've listened to it probably 6 times and I always listen in one sitting. It's very interesting!
Lula has the most awesome sense of humor of a fictional character I've read in a long time. I found myself laughing out loud often.
The plot was not edge-of-your-seat nail biting stuff. However, I was thoroughly entertained (so much so that I spent every free minute I had listening to this story over three days).
I've never listened to any of the narrator's performances but I can assure you Lorelei King delivers a spectacular storytelling performance.
I was moved to laughter by the episode on the nude beach...did I mention Lula is absolutely hilarious?
I'm a heterosexual guy and I found this book extremely entertaining! I recommend this to men and women who like mystery, memorable characters, and a good laugh.
The secret love affair carried on by the main character in this story was brilliantly showcased. It was a thing you never saw coming and you never wanted to see end.
I found this book compelling in many different ways. To go too deeply into my feelings would be to get too political. Suffice it to say, there are aspects about 1984 that makes me wonder about our modern day government.
This is a classic well worth revisiting or reading for the first time. George Orwell is a masterful storyteller in any time. I highly recommend this audio book!
I love how the Diana Rowland eases the main character into her life as a zombie. The real life issues the main character has coping with an alcoholic loser father and a stoner boyfriend makes the plot believable enough to immerse you. In a world where zombies are totally cliche, bravo, Diana!
This is my first experience with Allison McLemore. She totally nails the characters! Impressive performance turned in by the narrator.
I have recommended this book to several people already.
Amazing Amy of course!
I'm not new to Julia. She brings so much to the characters as does Kirby. They both turn in stellar performances.
Expectations unfulfilled. I am a huge fan of Ex-Heroes. I've listened to the first Ex-Heroes close to ten times. It's that good. But this was a major let down for me.
It was kinda cliche to be honest. Disappointing to say the least.
I have not listened to any other books by this narrator but this guy does an awesome interpretation of Veek (the most memorable character in the story)
Yeah, sadly disappointment.
Peter Clines is a very gifted writer. It was a bummer to see him turn in such a mediocre effort.
Entertaining, Engaging, Energetic
Stealth. She's sexy cool.,beautiful, smart, and pragmatic ... just the way I like my heroines!
Listening to the narration is like hooking cable wires to your brain and having the images projected directly into your head. Jay Snyder and Khristine Hvam immerse you in this story like very few narrators can.
Grave Peril easily ranks in the top five. It's that good!
Dresden followed by Bianca. Largely through no fault of his own, Dresden is the consummate mess-up desperately striving to "get it right". Bianca is the ultimate nemesis- beautiful but deadly smart.
Are you kidding me? Marsters brings the characters to life like very few narrators in the business can. I dare say, Marsters is in the top echelon of narrators.
There is a reason why Grave Peril remains one of the top purchased books in the Dresden Series. Definitely worth every penny!
Just when you think Dresden couldn't get any better. Wow! I've listened twice.
Dresden hands down. In many ways, Marsters and Dresden are one in the same.
This is definitely a book you'd try to cram into one day ... except real life has a way of creeping up on ya.
