"My Favorite of the Lord John Grey"
This is by far the best of the Lord John Grey books. Or, perhaps, I enjoyed it more because so much of the story centered around Jamie Fraser. I only wish it had been narrated by Davina Porter. While the narrators do a fine job with the other characters, Jamie's voice is not quite right.
"Another good Monk story"
I am listening my way through this series and enjoying all of them. I would love to see all of this series available through Audible and narrated by Davina Porter.
"A New Series for Me"
I am just starting this series after reading Anne Perry's William Monk series. I enjoyed this book but, so far, the characters don't seem quite as well-developed as the characters in the Monk series.
"Enjoying This Series"
I discovered the William Monk series while searching for books narrated by Davina Porter. This is the first of the Anne Perry series I have read - I don't usually read novels set in this time period - but am enjoying the characters and stories. (Unfortunately, it appears that several in the series are not available on Audible and that later books have a different narrator. As a Davina Porter fan, it remains to be seen if I will like them as well with another narrator.)
"Another Winner in the Andy Carpenter series"
I have enjoyed all of the Andy Carpenter books - and hope David Rosenfelt continues to write them. As always, Grover Gardner does an excellent job with the narration.
"Not my favorite of the series but still 5 stars"
I love the Outlander series - maybe as much for the amazing performance of the narrator as for the story.
"Another great Maisie Dobbs book!"
I very much enjoyed this newest addition to the outstanding Maisie Dobbs series. While the "mystery" part of the story is always entertaining it is the characters that keep the reader returning to this series. And, as always, Orlagh Cassidy's narration adds much to the listening experience!
"Love the Jane Whitefield series!"
I have been hooked on the Jane Whitefield book since I read Vanishing Act years ago so was excited to see another addition to the series. The one thing I did not like about Poison Flower was the torture scenes. Not that they did not fit in the story - just that I found them too disturbing to listen to. (If I had been reading rather than listening to the book I would have simply skipped over those parts.)
"Enjoyable"
I really enjoy the Andy Carpenter series. Just the right amount of humor and mystery. I hope the author continues to add to the series.
"Always enjoy Hamish"
This was another good Hamish MacBeth story. They are made even better by Davina Porter's narration.
