"just a story...."
I cannot believe what some people are saying about this book. Some people think it is really disappointing, its just a story, but in my opinion I haven't wasted my time by listening to it, I have quite enjoyed it. Then people comment on the narrator, saying its terrible, I don't understand this, infact I can't find fault, it certainly doesn't get on my nerves. Dont listen so much to "bad reviews" just enjoy listening.
"Really Really Good!"
I would think so, I love Dick Hill as a narrator, I so love listening to the books he narrates.
Just all of it..... its a good book as usual from Lee Child
yes.... all brilliant
just that feeling of an adrenalin rush listening to it, and a really satisfied "glad to have chosen it to listen to"
Don't think many people could possiblty be disappointed with this audio/novel
"Really Good"
love the audio...... fantastic presentation
to be honest it took me a while to get into this audio book, I am so glad I persisted. It's only the odd one or two that won't enjoy this, don't let the negative reviews sway you (few that they are)
The character voices are great, especially that of Shep.... I kinda like Shep, just accept him for who he is.
If I could stay awake all night and not have to work during the day.... sure
First time I have heard this narrator.... he is very good
"fun, sometimes touching"
When I started listening I thought it was going to be a little far fetched even though it is meant to be humorous and I didn't think it would hold my interst. But a little way in I found I really enjoyed it and would have been happy if it continued on and just didn't end. It was fun in parts, and touching in others.
"A must read!!"
Yes, definitely
Listening to this book, relatively new author, has left me scouring audible for a thriller that will be as good as this one!
"This is fun....!"
I adored Can you keep a secret, wasn;t too hot about the Shopaholic series, but this is as good as and fun as Can you keep a secret, so give it a go!
"Julie"
The first few pages (only a few mind you) had me thinking "ho hum" could be boring. A little further in to the book "boy was I wrong" it's fantastic! Don't you had when a good book comes to an end!
"Julie"
This author is so brilliant, what more do I need to say? The narrators are absolutely fantastic!
"so worthwhile"
I agree with one reviewer that it is hard to read about sad circumstances which involve children, but this book is so worth listening to, and WOW the readers are just exceptional. "thumbs up for Lisa Gardner"
"I give it 2 you may not think the same"
This book has many sad events. It is very sombre indeed.
The characters stories seemed to me to be individual and not linked to another, perhaps this is intentional I dont know. I dont think the book is long enough to explore each character. It didnt build to a "I am dying to find out what is going to happen"
It has left me thinking "have I missed something" or perhaps I was in the mood for a giggle and this book is about people having real life problems to face.
The artist they focus on is quite real, I find his pictures very interesting.... his paintings show you his "inside suffering".
This book has left me with an emotional feeling, not quite sure how to put it in words. I would be very interested to see other comments.
