"A stellar conclusion to the trilogy"
An exciting, laugh out loud conclusion to the trilogy. We can only hope for a cross over between Percy Jackson and the Kane kids.
"A classic, but not much fun"
It was good to tick off a classic I had never before read, but this was a seriously depressing read. This book on a grey drizzly February day and I would probably be suicidal.
"A gripping narrative of dark times"
Enormously detailed, yet completely gripping, this work brings to life an incredibly important, yet often overlooked, chapter in our nation's history
"excellent reading of a treasured favorite"
Nadia May's reading style takes a little getting used to as she has a significant pause in between sentences. However, she speeds up as the book goes along and I liked her style a lot after I got used to it. I have read Persuasion in print about a hundred times and this version is a lovely alternative for a drive.
"excellent title for 9-12 year olds"
For those kids looking for something now that Harry Potter is over, this is a good choice. Funny and exciting, with strong female characters as well as Percy, it's perfect for the 9-12 year old crowd.
